drip feed 5 gal bucket questions for any pros

Looking to run 46 5 gallon buckets in sea of green method . With that being said. I have 4 x 1000 watt hps in 6 inch air cooled reflectors 1000 watt magnetic ballast also have a 1/2 hhp hydrofarm acua chiller and 2 gaint barrol res`s. Heres the qestions i have can i just hook a line up to each bucket and have run back into res dont plain on using flood tabels .. what kind of pump would be best for sucking the water out of the Buckets and dripping into the buckets also those 6 inch hoods are good for 4x4 at what height away from plants ty R.I.U

5gal pots are big for a sog and 46 under x4 lights is way under lighting.

If sog is what your aiming for the i would go #2 smart pots with 11 plants per
1000 veg for a week maybe 2 depending on strain then flip to 12/12

5gal pot support huge plants and would be over kill for a sog setup.
guess what im saying is its a waist of medium and money.

if your dead set on 5gal then i would get halo rings and plumb everything
with 1/2 to 3/4 hose.

Heres what i was thinking each pot is 1 foot wide so 4 5 gallon bucks side by side is 4 feet x 16 is 64 make sense ? Prob just do 3 in a row of 16

Your plants will never get big enough to use that much medium! Its a waist
and in alot of ways your medium will stay to wet, you want it to dry out faster.
plants needing water more often grow way better then plants in so much medium
they dont need water for days.


would be a different story if you said you were going to grow trees lol

Just dont feel like waiting for plants to veg for months lol i have a 1000 mh 400 mh and a shit load of t5 lights if i did wonna make veg room but i think i am going to make a water farm kit home made just a little confused on what to do thinking about 12/12 from seed because i want a harvest in 80 days i spend 10 hours a day researching just confused ..

Listen brother it sounds like your a bit new to this style and or growing! Nothing rong with that we all
were there at one time or another. That being said all im trying to do is help save you money and time!
i get what your goal is and your going about it all rong. If you are gunna go with 5gal buckets you need to
drop down to 5 plants per light and veg for 3weeks. Your overall yeild with good genetics will be good if
you hit all the right moves, its a live and learn biz growing weed.

Now if you went with #2 smart pots, those are 2gal. Fyi you can stuff a bunch in a sog (sea of green) style
grow and get great results to.... Should be able to run 20 per 1000 a few more if you use a large A-wing style
shield. Set that up with drip feed and run it to waist you should be golden. Coco would be my first chioce perlite
being 2nd choice. Veg for 1week to get good roots going this will up yields alot over going to flower from seed or
clone.

i can walk you through most of it if you wish, but you need to decide 100% on the system you want!
i have run them all and by far coco dtw is king imo. (Balls in your court)

A- live and learn spend money waist some to!
B- or get right to killing it and filling those stash jars and pockets with green backs
