I don't even know if it's 36 hours accurately, probably up to 36. Had a buddy that smoked with me about 8 hours before he had a job interview. They tested him on the spot at the interview without telling him in advance. He took it and passed. Saliva tests for a job are basically to see if you cared enough to at least come to the job or interview without being high, they don't detect more than about a day at the most.

bro i smoked the day before i went for a job at a port n passd a spit test. drink water n rinse your mouth out a few times right before you go... i also held a lil water in my mouth while swabbin

close, sal-I-va, not salvia. I took a saliva test for life insurance and was high in the morning, never heard anything bad so I guess I passed it. I think they we're more making sure I didn't have AIDS but the guy told me to admit I smoke ciggarette's cause they would find out anyway when did the test, glad I didn't admit I used any other drugs.
