Heres some alright hash i made using dry ice.
I presses undee heat however should the glands all be ruptured? Great tasting and great high i was jw what you hash counissuers prefer.
Once needed it goes into a solid black piece of which i am assumin thats the glands ruptering together, however this is not pliable unless heat is added. Act almost like shatter in a way to regards to heat.
Should i knead?
Should i press for rosin?
Or should i simply enjoy this the way that it is, i have 50g of it.

Question for anyone kind enough to respond:

Is it worth the effort to use not so great tasting, but stoney bud for processing?.
I'm hoping it will improve flavor and potency, have run dry ice many times; but only using quality trim.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Your not going to change dick all favour but it will get your wrecked

This is a failed harvest and trim. Not bad tasting but boy howdy does it get you fueled up to sit down5ot3st.gifIMG_20211019_115826.jpgIMG_20211019_103625.jpgIMG_20211019_115826.jpgIMG_20211019_103625.jpg

Damn, that's one helluva press!
What sized micron on the kief?.
Here's why I asked the question as well;
No matter what type of strains I use, it always comes out tasting the same; which is old school awesome.
Only the potency varies, but always tastes like the stuff I bought back in the 1980's.
So am figuring even if the bud doesn't taste good, well; I'll find out soon!

You're processing it too long and getting a bunch of plant matter.

I used the old pin and jar method a little while back. It was a stroll down memory lane. Most probably don't know what I'm talking about.

U need heat

I heat my press up to 95c and press slow

I could press more then 115g but first time

Then I vacuum pack it to continue squeezing it
200micron
Probably go smaller next time

OP seems to be long gone.
I'll second using heat, I keep it below 150F; and use a large pollen press along with 2 pairs of pliers.
Using a 120 mic bag, the kief is same color as your photo; but darker upon pressing.
Never tried a 200, generally I start with 90; and move up for different hash grades.

A very old favorite! I love the pin through the cardboard and jar method. The easiest way to not waste trichomes in a flame up.

Throw it all in.

Looks good but ones a lil green. Not that it bothers me but people like to point it out LOL. The secret to not getting any green is to keep a close eye on your pile as you shake and stop when you see a green tint. Good job though! I usually press mine in one of these moulds which I bought off Amazon View attachment 5031306
What kind of paper are you lining the press with? Or is that the hash in the golden brown color?

Oh yeah parchment paper. I cut two squares and put them on both sides of the pollen. Then I use one of those rice filled bags that you microwave for injures that I wrap around until hot. I have two flooring samples I got at Home Depot that I put between the mould and the jaws of my vice so the mould doesn’t get damaged. I hand tighten then tap it another turn with a hammer and it presses perfectly

Thanks! Good luck man if you have any questions HMU. I am learning too but I’ve done it a few times. I suggest wearing gloves so you don’t burn your fingers and breaking down your dry ice so you don’t break your bags. Show us your end result!
