I like it’s because you can turn something that is a pain in the ass to store because of size into something much more manageable. Also I had weed I set aside for about 10 years and it got kinds weird in color and smoke but the hash that I made with the exact same weed had no noticeable changes
Thats what i look forward to doing. I have a press i bought that makes a fat dime sized quatity. Im going to just store most of it until a day comes along when i want to go to the moon and watch x-files

I too am making my first batch of dry ice hash. How big of a surface do I need? I have a 30-inch glass table I planned to do it over but looks like that may be a little small?
Any tips?

Yeah I use this long piece of slick plastic sheeting. I would use a very smooth counter top if it’s large enough. It comes out like you are throwing flour and the dust rolls across the surface. 30 inches is way too small in my opinion. Only way you can minimize the dust it holding it close to the surface when you shake but if if it’s not big enough you are going to lose some and have sticky shit all over your floor

That may well be what I do but I'll have to do it outside so I don't trash the floor. No one seems to have acrylic sheets in stock!

My plastic is actually a large sheet that women sew blankets on with different measurements on it . I flip it upside down and wipe it with a Clorox wipe. I use old credit cards and just bought this thing that I found in the paint section of Home Depot to scrape paint. I also use a headlamp and get level with the table so I can see areas that I missed

Like I tell everybody else if you have any questions just hit me up if I know I’ll tell you and if I don’t I’ll tell you LOL. One thing I can’t emphasize enough it to be careful with the dry ice and wear gloves. It it touches your skin even through a bag it will burn you. Also when transporting it crack a window because the carbon dioxide can make you dizzy if you aren’t getting enough air. Finally never seal it in a container or it will explode from pressure. The way I keep it cold until I use it is in a $5 styrofoam cooler that I lost the top off of. I put down a towel then when I buy my ice they put it in couple bags besides what it comes in. I throw it on top of the towel then put 2 more bath towels on that for the long drive home. It stays amazingly cold that way

I read somewhere that some people use a turkey bag for cooking when they use heated water bottles to roll a temple ball. So I thought that if the turkey bags is big enough to put as bird in, then the end of a bubble bag should also fit. If that is so then tying a bubble bag, so that the turkey bag hangs below it, then doing your sift in the bag, should allow 100% of product to end up in the bottom of the bag. A second advantage to this would be to use the hot water bottle method to process the fruits of your labour into what ever shape you want or just get it out of the bag.
I do it for the same reason but it is nice when you want break from flower.

I did, only used icewater method for bubble hash; getting it super cold with some dry ice mixed in as well.
It takes a little longer, but the increased yield and potency were worth the time; plus one can keep running it. I find straight dry ice to be a challenge filtering, in that one must change bags as opposed to using them all at once.
In water I can use my work bag 220, a 160 to finish filtration; then my 26 mic. to catch all the good stuff. I tried a 90 and 72 mic, but damn!; lungs couldn't handle the terpine expectorant cough. So now I pull and filter everything in the 26, which creates a really nice shade of blonde.

Just go to Amazon and search Hash molds. They are about $50.00 + for a set depending on size. The is also a pollen press at less than $20. I have the press but I never used it. I usually roll mine between 2 pieces parchment paper with hot water on a bottle, fold it and do it again for about 5 times. The attached pic is this years product from cuttings and small popcorn pieces. The saran wrapped piece is 10 grams
