DWC and Hempy, Parabolic Mini ScrOG!

had some cured stuff the other day (only 6 days) but the smoke was pretty good, It's very fast acting and very heady like a sativa'ish high doesn't really taste of anything smells quite nice once you grind it, proper piney fruity sorta smell, without grinding it the smell is very discreet... Last point I don't know if its 'cause I keep mixing it with strong indica smoke my mate usually has but at the end of the night after 2 J's of mine and 1 of his I get sorta headachey, but not like a pain headache just when I close my eyes its a bit of pressure... a bit odd lol.

Maybe the headache is from it not being completely dry and/or you not completely flushing? My only thoughts, still new to this....

i occasionally get headaches but it's usually only if ive smoked ALL day and usually it's cause im dehydrated and/or hungry (not just munchies, like actually needing food)

Well she was thoroughly flushed for nearly 3 weeks with only trace feedings in the 1st week of flush and the nites I was feeding were organic... It was properly dried too lol so I have no idea what it was either XD

i wanted to ask, because for some reason it just hit me that if you screen over your plants you can't bring them out for fresh air and watering, right? hmmmm i am gonna have to think about how to do this. i have like 12 clones rooting now and was thinking of doing the bottle thing with them and also SOG since they will all be the same age. any thoughts Match?

yeah that is a problem you can't take it in or out of the cab once you've got the tops growing thru the screen... watering is pretty straight forward it is really easy to get a watering can under the canopy so that didn't affect me... I had a Hempy pot I built with some fish tank accessories on the drainage hole (like the valves you get on the filter to stop the water flow for cleaning the filter), that way I could heavy water just by closing the valve and letting the roots sit for a few hours then drain. general overflow was easy because I had a small measuring jug that it drained into so I could just close valve empty jug, put jug back, open valve drain into jug etc

Fans for circulation and opening the cab door etc were enough to keep a reasonable level of 'fresh air' :)

I'm trying SOG this go round as well just to compare yields with ScrOG and I want to try to get as much experience with pretty much all types of growing because I love learning this shit lol.

If your doing 12/12 from seed I wouldn't bother with a screen, and with 12 clones they would just fill up too much of the screen if you were to use one, personally I don't think it would work with that many (though I dont think you were going to ScrOG 12 plants) XD

I'm a bit stoned on that cake I made last week so forgive me if that didn't make much sense lol I'll read it another day and see :)

Seeing as this grow is finished I doubt anyone would still be following, but I think I'm going to be a total hypocrite. Got a bit of money coming in soon so I'm dropping some of it on a 250w Dual Spectrum HID in a cool tube I think I was just convincing myself that CFL's were cheaper/better etc because I didn't have much £ coming in though looking at other grows with 250w HID's I think the overall yield/experience has been somewhat more than I've been getting off of my CFL's so I have figured it'll be a worthwhile investment,plus I like the idea of only having to worry about 1 light and was taken in by the extra lumens seeing as its almost double 2, 125w cfls...

At the moment I have an 8 plant bottle grow going on 12/12 from seed, I don't feel the need to start a new grow journal cos they're looking shite, lesson learned don't do 100% Perlite.

Next grow I want to go back to my Parabolic ScrOG with 2 plants, a Bubblelicious (just cos the one I have in a 2 litre bottle looks amazing so far) and maybe a berry bomb, this strain keeps failing at the seedling stage don't know if it's genetics or I keep stressing them at a young age, or something lemony, any suggestions? (other than super lemon haze it's way to sativa for my height restrictions even in a scrog, plus the buds grow really sparse and fluffy from a previous grow).

Just gotta figure out if I want to keep hempy or go with something else... might do a soil and a hydro hempy, I'll see!

It's ok to humbly admit it if you think youre wrong
I had one grow that was shitty and half assed with cfl's, and just looking at so many hps grows compared to cfl's, it just seems incomparable. The stringiness and stretch that cfl's seem to give, plus a much lower yield.

Plus... (as youre a fellow brit ill use our currency), its like £30 upwards for a 250w cfl. Double that because you need both spectrums thats £60. youll be using the same electricity as a watt is a watt, the only thing youre gaining is less heat. But even then you have to constantly adjust them.

I got a 600w with ballast and hangers for 82 including delivery. That wasnt the best deal either.

i like the idea of paying for your own equipment in one harvest, with cfl's and their prices (espesh in uk) it seems unlikely. im currently debating whether to get ventilation for my 600 (which is ridiculous in my space, a 2x3x3 closet, i was uninformed on wattage needs) or whether to just go with cfl's.. but considering i spent 80 on the light i guess it doesnt make much sense to buy the cfl's, guess ill have to work it out.

im also growing ak48 like this grow! apparently that lack of smell until you grind is a common thing

yeah CFL's are expensive especially over here :/ though this grow was pretty good, yield and overall health for the space I have AND it paid for itself.

I vegged with LED's so didn't need to buy different colours just got 2x125w Red ones job done.

I can imagine 600w is ridiculous for your cab! I doubt even an air cooled hood would help there XD only thing I'd suggest is see if you can get a switchable ballast and grab a 400 watter though that's possibly still overkill.

I'll check out your grow in a bit.

Yeah LED's would possibly be something i need to consider. I think i'll invest in a tent though, im sure it'll pay for itself
