DAY 94 GROW - DAY 53 FLOWER

Res Change Day

  • 25 Litres of 0ppm RO water
  • Sensi Bloom part A - 50ml (2ml per litre)
  • Sensi Bloom part B - 62.5ml (2.5ml per litre)
  • CalMag Xtra - 18.75ml (0.75ml per litre)
  • BigBud (PK Booster) - 25ml (1ml per litre)
  • Great White - 3gr (0.12gr per litre)

So, time to change the res.
I lowered the amount of part A as last week I got nitrogen toxicity and part A is what contains most of the nitrogen.
In fact Sensi Bloom A is majority nitrogen.

The split is

pH Perfect® Sensi Bloom (Part A)™
3 Nitrogen, 0 Phosphorus, 0 Potassium

pH Perfect® Sensi Bloom (Part B)™
2 Nitrogen, 4 Phosphorus, 8 Potassium

I can't rule it out completely though as A also contains most of the amino acids etc.
B contains all of the PK so that's not getting dropped and I will keep the full 2.5ml per litre.

I am now out of Great White so I will get some Orca to use going forward as the sediment is frustrating, having to clean it out each time.

I can't see how anyone follows the Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule.
They are saying I should be using
4ml each of A and B
2ml of CalMag
2ml of Big Bud

Now look at this chart I calculated.
This would have my EC WAY too high
I was getting nitrogen toxicity at EC of 3.0

What are your thoughts on this?

Anyway, my next post will be images from tonight.

Ive put a 12 litre dehumidifer in tonight next to the tent, see if that helps drop it.
I will keep the temps where they are though 24 in the day and 21 at night
My concern with that it that the lower temps increases the chance of bud rot. 21/70 is prime temp. Reducing RH will help.

More info in this "chat" with chatGPT.

I grow one plant at a time and end up with large buds which increases the chances for bud rot so I'm tend to err on the conservative side.

I am using an iPhone 14 Pro Max camera for the up close trichome shots
They look really good.

The plant isnt as dark as the image makes out as I take it with the LED onwhich causes the camera to compensate colours and exposure.
Got it. That's why they look "too" green. Good to know.

Time to go and do a res change.

Ill upload some more images shortly when I am done

What yield are you guessing and we will see in a few weeks
"about a pound"—standard RIU response. :-)

I don't know what your PPFD's have been and, overall, that's the driver. Plants generate glucose from light and that glucose is the only way they can make food. Nutrients are akin to vitamins and minerals in human nutrition—more nutrients cannot increase crop size but insufficient nutrients can decrease crop size.

Your grow is in good shape, you've filled out the grow space completely (congrats on that) so your yield should hit somewhere in the seed seller's estimated range. For most cannabis (photos and autos) that's 400-600gm per square meter. If your light levels have been 700-800'ish and temps in the 20's, it's likely that your yield will be toward the middle to lower end of the seed seller's estimates.

[time passes]

Yield should be higher, per the website.

Don't know why I didn't this of this earlier.

Go to chatGPT.com and paste in the photo of your grow. Ask it "What would you estimate the yield of the flower to be from the plants in this photo?" and see what it comes up with. I just ran it on a couple of not all that great photos from my most recent grow and it gave me a very accurate estimate.
