DWC root problem with pics

Im not hip with a ton of nutes since I just use FF grow big for hydro and Humboldt ginormous additive for my P & K. If the label states it has any kind of "Guano" or "worm Castings" or anything from a once living organism -its an organic nute. Basically if it has any form of "poop" in it. I looked at the gh flora series and the maxi bloom and Im pretty sure they are both synthetics which brings me to your original issue. If you have bacterial slime in your res without the use of organics, then you have another factor causing the slime like res temps being too hot(but not likely if you are at 22-24*C),not enough aeration/circulation in res, light getting into the res etc. Hydroguard can be used on both organic and synthetic nutes. I would be using it as a routine safeguard anyways whether there was a problem or not if you already have it. I just use h202 since I run synthetics and the h202/water is so cheap and readily available.
I wonder if hydroguard and h202 can be use at the same time? Every nutrients line that I can get cost me around 3 times of its price for me to get here. I see I have to buy many bottles for making beneficials tea. Hope I can work well just adding hydroguard, or if there is any bottle I can buy to replace tea

@ligrow absolutely not! Never use h202 with any bacteria based root protection chemicals. H202 known as hydrogen peroxide is meant to kill bacteria which is why its used as a cleaning open wounds etc. When you use them with plants you are stripping all of the bacteria good and bad out of your res. Hydrogaurd puts beneficial bacteria into your res, the way it was explained to me is imagine it like the white bloodcells of your res, if there is a invader the bennies will take care of your problem keeping it on top of the food chain. If you stick with h202 you will want something like this

you do not want over the counter 5% as it will dissolve way to quick i do believe. Another thing to keep in mind is if you go to h202 you will need to use it with every res swap and every feeding (which you will have to do with hydrogaurd but not as much)

Any pros that can vouch for what im saying or add their two cents to what im saying would be very appreciated. My only experience is with roses and tomatoes as im still waiting for it to become legal in my state so i can only speak for my garden

dutchmaster zone. cheap to use. it's basically bleach. i prefer a sterile res to a beneficial one. kill 'em all!

Keep in mind that the h202 serves more than one purpose other than just a clean res. It simply breaks down into water adding extra o2 to your res oxygenating your water and the plants LOVE it. No residuals left behind and it can be used for powdery mold treatments, foliar feeds among other uses as well. I'm all about cheap and effective & its the all arounder for me. I use the 3% solution as it is much more forgiving when used, but as mentioned it only has a res life of about 3 days. Considering I'm in my room daily and its under $3 for a large bottle, this isnt an issue for me personally.
