No just a facepalm because of your posts. Its not funny when if I have to explain it, damnit. :wall:
if you agree with that moron then you are a moron right along with and did you read what he was saying lolI'm starting to think some of you people did not know how to read

I'm laughing at the fact that you don't know how to respond in a single message and had to respond using the same quote, over and over and over but yea I'm the moron....

I'll let you get back to your little dick measuring contest.

Because people act like it can't be done.
People like you like to talk shit about auto's and I like to shut them up.
I grow photo's too. Got some Blue Kush, Caramel Ice, Shark Shock CBD, and Critical+ 2.0 buring right now.

I'll agree with you that the bennies only overpower the pathogen, but the benefits of bennies are numerous.
Who cares if the bennies only mask it if it makes it go away?
Chlorine doesn't give you any of the benefits that Tea does.

Like I said, everyone should be sterilizing their system between grows anyways.
Most of the people coming to this thread are looking for ways to save their grow.
Chlorine (although a macro nutrient) stresses plants and root at the concentration that you would use to fight pathogens, unlike the Tea.
Use too much chlorine? Your plants cough dust.
Even if it worked as good as the tea (which it doesn't) it's still hard on the plant when it's already compromised, and can kill your plants.

Show me some 6-8 ounce pound plants from clones in under 90 days from cut to weed.
2 weeks rooting
3 weeks veg
8 weeks flower
Show me please.

Anyways, I'm done enabling you to troll this awesome topic further.

You can have the last word.

Peace.

Those were ebb and flow buckets, lol.
Those roots are healthy. Showcase your ignorance some more.
Ahh, the smell of fresh roots. Wait, doesn't root rot stink?
Just as I said earlier. Dark roots can be healthy roots.
Root rot will cause roots to slough, and stink.
That was also a half pound of DRY weed from an AUTOFLOWERING plant in UNDER 90 days From Seed.
Nice try though, lol.

Face it, you suck.

Bottle up that Chlorine and sell it. You should be rich by now.
Not that much of a go getter, eh?

Peace out.
I'm gonna go check on my root rot free 6000 watt grow room.
Maybe go for a motorcycle ride, lol.

Have fun with this misinformed individual Guys.

Peace.

people have already bottle it up and they already sell it you moron its called ez clones clear Rez, dutchmaster zone, and several others ... and your picture already showed everyone that ur not root rot free lol looks to me like you are the poster child of root rot...for anyone reading this if that picture is not proof that the T does not work then I dont know what is this guy says he uses the T and it works great lol ....I still cannot believe that you actually put that picture up..the plant that you are trying to show off has the typical small buds of an infected plant ....so here we go everyone clear evidence that the T does not necessarily work lol LMAO I am laughing so hard right now lol

The Dunning-Kruger effect occurs where people fail to adequately assess their level of competence — or specifically, their incompetence — at a task and thus consider themselves much more competent than everyone else. This lack of awareness is attributed to their lower level of competence robbing them of the ability to critically analyse their performance, leading to a significant overestimate of themselves. Put more crudely, they're too stupid to realize they're stupid.
Signs of the DK effect: Name calling, telling others that you're laughing at them, attacking a person instead of their arguments, logical fallacies, ect.

Denial is a common response to a stressful situation. It can be an important coping and defense mechanism. But it also can delay the appropriate response to circumstances that require action and change.
Denial in its broadest sense means refusing to acknowledge painful or overwhelming external circumstances, avoiding the facts or minimizing the consequences.

Hello Heisenberg
I was hoping I could get your opinion on a problem that I have, however I would rather not post it here, because of the arguments and I don't want to be told to do something that is just going to make things worse, if that's even possible.
Again I thank you for this thread, as I found it very informative.

Thanks Mr Crew

Hey people. I just made an account so I could post on this thread. I have the slime. bongsmilie
Anyway, this is my first attempt at hydroponics (DWC) and so far I've had problems from day one. I believe it all started because I added Floralicious Plus, ever since I removed it I've had slime only on the roots, none on the side of the buckets and my ph rapidly climbing has stopped and now remains stable. However I'm not entirely sure about this because I have been using Great White so maybe if I stop it could come back. I do know that a stable ph is a good thing and my problem seems to be only growing on my roots.

My res temps are unfortunately always around 75-80 ever since I added an air pump (this will go down in a few months since I live in Canada and it only gets hot here for a short time.) Air temps around the plant can range from 70-90. Also, I am growing just a single tomato plant which is the only plant that is doing anything at all. I think it's growing nicely but the leaves seem to be cupping up almost everywhere, maybe this is due to heat. Or perhaps it's due to the slime messing with the roots? I don't know if this is bad for the plant so if someone could help me out with this I'd appreciate it. My other plant is a strawberry plant which is now dead I think. Lastly the plant I really want to grow into a big huge monster is a Goji Berry plant. This plant has a long taproot and ever since I moved it from soil to hydro it was growing at first but then got slimed very badly and stopped growing at all. Even after I cleared up this bs problem it would not grow..it just sat there and the leaves slowly fell away. I really hope it's not dead. :(

I recently purchased a product called Roots Excelurator which I used in hopes of bringing my Goji Berry plant back to life. All it did was slime everything up really badly (used at half strength.) I used Great White and things have since cleared up but there is still slime on my tomato plant roots. I am thinking of moving the Goji Berry to soil now since it was growing fine there. (If it's not dead.)

I have brewed a 2 gallon tea with 2 handfuls of EWC, half a scoop of Great White, 2.5ml of Roots Excelurator (I don't know if this will do anything since it supposedly contains anaerobic bacteria.) Also, instead of using molasses I used 2tbps of the Floralicious Plus. It's been almost 24 hours and the tea is foaming very nicely. :D

This is the second time I'm brewing this tea. I did brew it once before with ZHO powder, Bacillus Subtilis, EWC, Rapid Start, and Floralicious Plus. It did foam but a lot later than the one I am brewing right now. I also poured the first tea through the net pot of the Goji Berry plant but it did not seem to do anything. I am worried that the plant is dead.

I can take pics of anything that you guys need to help me out and if anyone wants to see this foam I can take pics of that too. bongsmilie I am now going to vape a massive bowl, thanks for taking the time to read and for your help. Peace. bongsmilie

.....

in hydroponics when you are first setting your pH after a reservoir change your pH will rise...that's not a bad thing just read just a couple more times since then and should study of...if your pH Falls then you know you have a bad pathogen in there.....the pathogens also thrive on sugar so if you ad your tea and it still has sugar in it.. it can also make slime...... your floralicious Plus probably would not have made this line unless it was contaminated or out of date...so I would look elsewhere for the cause ....you could have bring it into the system from the plant you transplanted from soil because the soil can contain pathogen .....the tea does help with keeping the actual slime off of your roots and helps keep your plants alive BUT the plant will always have the disease inside of it systematically ....they do have systemic fungicide that can fight it within the plant... one that comes off of the top of my head is organocide plant doctor .... and here is another good product that I will cut and paste you some information aboutit's not actually systemic acting but it helps your plant fight systemically (Companion® Biological Fungicide Receives New EPA Label for Hydroponics, Soilless Mix Hydro Garde
  • WHITE PLAINS, NY (September 5, 2008) - Companion® Liquid Biological Fungicide (71065-3), has been granted a new EPA label for use on wide range of food crops, including fruiting vegetables, leafy crops and herbs. The Companion® line of products was first introduced to the Horticultural market in 2001. Manufactured by Growth Products, Ltd., Companion® effectively prevents, controls and suppresses a broad range of root and foliar diseases such as Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium, Sclerotinia, Botrytis and Phytophthora.

Companion®'s GB03 strain of Bacillus subtilis has multiple modes of action in preventing and controlling plant diseases. It produces a broad-spectrum antibiotic (Iturin) that disrupts pathogen cell-wall formation. It is a competitive and fast colonizing rhizobacterium that crowds out pathogens and prevents pathogens' growth and antagonistic effects. University trials have shown that GB03 triggers Induced System Resistance (ISR) in plants, by activating a plant's natural immune system to fight many plant diseases. In addition, Companion® strengthens root systems and increases crop yields.

Professional growers and hobbyists can now use this powerful, environmentally friendly tool to battle diseases and to grow healthy, vigorous crops. It can be used in all hydroponics, aeroponics, constant feed, and ebb and flow systems.

Companion® is antagonistic to blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria) growth. It will break down root zone debris keeping roots clean and free of disease.

Companion® can be applied up to and including the day of harvest.)
but in the end you really should not use any kind of living or organic matter inside your hydro you should keep a sterile environment in your root zone ... ....

also you do not have to make the tea to keep this on the way just a good set of beneficial bacteria added to your water will keep the slime away but will not get rid of the pathogens. ...... also a way you can keep your plants alive while you are fighting the disease in the root zone is to foliar feed your plants ....and yes the Great White will help stop your pH fluctuations and will help keep the slime away because it is a beneficial ...

in the end the best thing to do is throw away anything that got contaminated with a pathogen including the plants and start over

Heisenburg thanks for the thread. I'm only on page 17 but im reading through to the end. maybe ill be done a month from now LOL. anyway, I've been a soil grower for over 5 years now and have done it all relating to soil growing. bottled nutrients, brewing tea for different purposes, soil amendments etc. I've decided to give DWC a try. I had decided previously to run dutch master nutrients. I was originally planning on gold line A+B, zone, and add.27, but i have since decided to add Silica, and also use liquid light/saturator on your recommendation. I had a plant that was neglected in veg and the root base was unhealthy in soil, i decided to uproot it and rinse the roots and put it in DWC for my first try, things were going well for a few days then the water got cloudy and a little stinky. long story short the plant froze up and i pulled it up to discover some brown slime in between the clay pellets where the roots were. not sure what caused it other than im using tap water. my res is a steady 70 degrees and no light leaks. i use just under a 900gph (i think thats the measurement right? gph?) commericial air pump with 2 airstones in my 8gal res for veg (and 1 going into a seperate 5 gal bucket res i use as a topoff res and its connected to a float valve in the regular res). so i have plenty of air in my root zone. anyway, im not sure what caused the brown slime so im scrapping the zone and when the new (healthy) clones are done rooting sometime in the next week i'll be using the tea instead of zone. hoping for the best. i ordered the mycogrow soluble, i have alaska humus, and plantation unsulfured organic blackstrap molasses.

from my past experiences with tea brewing i have placed a wood mixing spoon over the top center of the bucket, and then i hang a net bag from that so its suspended in the middle of the water/bucket, and the airstone below it. this creates the most agitation on the humus and releases the most bacteria from it. if i recall correctly its best to brew just a tea for either bacteria or fungus, not both together. and same thing for feeding teas (adding guanos and what not, which doesnt apply for hydro/dwc). brewing bacteria tea and fungus tea together, they sort of battle one another during the brewing process. so by mixing both together instead of doing it seperate you are limiting the numbers of microlife. and (its been a few years so forgive me if im wrong) bacteria tea is prime between 24-36 hours, whereas fungus tea is 48-72 hours. I'm going to follow your recipe because i see people are having success and i want to have success in my first DWC run just wanted to chime in with what i recall from my tea brewing days in soil. i ran a couple of flower cycles with nothing but tea feeds with great success.

I'm curious on the snow storm ultra as to when you use it and how much? i remember using it a long time ago about 5 years ago but then i swayed away from bottled nutrients for the time being.

to answer some of the questions people were asking early on about soil, a bacteria tea will never burn your plant, you arent feeding the plant any, its just adding bacteria to your soil which helps break down organic material so the plant can get what it needs. you can only overdo tea in soil if you are adding guano and such.

anyway, just wanted to say thanks again for the thread and i hope my 2nd attempt (the first was very short lived as i cut it short early). i'll keep you posted if things work out for me. i started a thread in the DWC section to document but its not getting little to no attention so i'll probably request a mod to move it to grow journals maybe it'll do better there.

I have warm water temps... been running aquashield but roots always get a little mushy by the end of flower so going to give the tea another shot. have also dicked around with pondzyme getting okay results considering res temps.

I have bubbled tea before using mycogrow soluble, gh ancient forest humus, and botanicare black strapped molasses but I would get slimed or mushy roots within days. After a few more grows I figured it was prob just too much molasses left over in the tea... so I added mycogrow directly to the res... black roots in less than 12 hours and I was done with anything having to do with heisenberg tea. I did not store the mycogrow like a retard or anything.

this time I got some new shit to bubble tea... th ancient forest, great white, aquashield, and botanicare molasses. going to see how that goes.

been bubbling for 2 days, no foam. I used
4 gallons r/o
1 tsp great white
100ml aquashield
1 tbs molasses
2 hand fulls ancient forest humus.

I am probably just going to dump the whole bucket in my res tonight which has about 60 gallons of water.

you did read that you need to add the tea to a non nutriented res for 12 hrs then add nutes right ?
