DWC/Soil - 400w HPS - Sexy Avatar!

Last "2 day later" update I'm going to do. I'll go back to updating once a week again after this. PW is in the front right dwc net pot. Easy to spot, the one that looks like it is being trained around the outer edge of the net pot (yay LST). HKxAK in the dwc looks way better than my soil HKxAK's. Res temps with the 20oz frozen bottles stays right at 65 now.

Oh, and just to fuck with someone....remember that T-shirt I said I got from my last seed order? Well, it's going to be wet t-shirt avvie time either tonight or tomorrow!

Plants are growing for sure now. Makes me kick myself for not doing dwc this last grow...

Time told. She didn't do. She's in a new home and going to be getting a lot of attention to try to bring her back around. The PW is getting ready for it's 3rd tie down. HKxAK in dwc is blowing away the ones in soil. Hell all the dwc girls are at least triple the size of their soil counterparts. Having to stir the dwc buckets each day because the floranova bloom is settling to the bottom. Each bucket has its own air pump and 2 6" air stone per...tons of bubbles. You'd think the stuff would stay mixed. Oh well, small work for such great results.

Sucks about the shot glass like I said on the other post, guyess she can't hang. Oh well, can't wait to see some omre pictures!

Changed out water in dwc today. Roots are tinted slight brown but no smell and no slime. Sides of buckets show no signs of algae either. Water temps holding steady now at 65F. I assume the brown tinge is from the floranova bloom.


HKxAK in dwc showed his balls. So he got moved to soil and put downstairs in my regular herb garden under the T5's. I'll collect his pollen. Replaced him with another HKxAK that was in soil.

PW received third tie down


HKxAK from shotglass comp. She's bouncing back. Had to support her with hydroton. Yesterday, all the leaves were yellow.

I went ahead and put 5 fem'ed auto LR#2 seeds in to germ. Going to use HKxAKs pollen on one of them so I want them up and flowering within the next 30 days.

Nice update SR, looks like our autos showed sex right about the same time. How soon into flowering do you want to try and pollinate a female?

The last time I did a seed run...I pollinated the lower sites after 8-9 days of her showing hairs. Picked all the lower bud sites and brushed the pollen on with an artist brush. I had good success with that. I've read to wait until the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering (from time they show sex)...but with autos...that's not really viable since they finish in 4-6 weeks of flowering and it doesn't give enough time for all seeds to mature. So I guess, non autos should be 2-3rd week of flowering...autos 7-9 days of flowering. I think FDD had a thread on the subject as well that was very informative.

There starting to come along nicely, to bad there are some balls in your hen house, thats why I just go for fem seeds or clones now.. I remember a few years back I was trying to get a female C99 and did 6 veges in one year without a single Female... might have been just my bad luck but those where the last non fem seeds I bought.. Keep everything where your at with the DWC SR looking good !

I actually don't mind the male because I liked doing a seed run the last time...and looking forward to crossing hkxakxlr....lol. Thanks for all the help with keeping an eye on how the nutes are looking.

I think if stored in the refrigerator it is viable for 2 to 3 weeks, if i remember correctly.
