Yep, the strain is critical mass...I grew it last go-around as well. it's a bit of and odd shape by the way I trained it. All the leaves surrounding the buds are nice and green but can't say the same for the fan leaves. I might try to feed a dose of veg nutes for nitrogen? but I dunno, I'm pretty much at a loss

so, I flushed one with no success. I watered another with epsom salts and 1/4 nutes...no success. Next try is watering another with a stronger dose of bloom nutes...hopefully they are just hungry? I'll keep this updated in case people stumble across this thread in the future and are having a similar problem.

Also, if anyone has any other diagnosis I'd love to hear it.

If it's a K def., you should also see rust spots.
It looks more to me like N.
What are the formulas for the goodies you mentioned you feed?
Have you checked your soil PH or even the runoff PH yet?
Did you mix any lime and / or perlite in with your soil?

5.8 is best for hydro. 6.0 to 6.5 usualy called for in soil but even in soil i go 5.8 always seemed plants thrived better at that. I think it maximizes nute uptake. I only use coco and perlite now with no ph issues.
you must have yielded under 3 grams as nitrogen is not available for cannabis at 5.8

I've been feeding a full dose of liquid karma, about 1/4 dose of silica blast, and around a half dose of pro bloom.
I mixed about two tablespoons of life per gallon into the soil before planting.
As far as I can tell (with the GH ph drops) the ph going and and runoff seems to be fine

before u go dosing ur plants with more nutes check the soil ph FIRST. ocean forest is ph is very low. everything the plants need may be there just locked up because of ph problems
As far as I can tell the ph is fine. Here's the kicker, I'm growing some other strains as well which seem to be perfectly healthy....so it seems to be strain specific problem

purple stems indicate a lockout. you might have to get it out of lockout. i hear sometimes certain things add too much calcium and you dont realize it and it can really screw things up. what do u use to pH up and down? i heard baking soda has a lot of calcium. some people can ease off veg nutes and cut off nitrogen supply to the plant when it is MOST IMPORTANT. too little nitrogen stunts flowering bad and so does too much. If i were you id do a major flush to get the epsoms out, and then take and do 1/4 veg 3/4 flower nutes until next week. and then full flower for the remaining 2 weeks, followed by a dehydration and a flush

I PH using the general hydroponics PH up. I did a flush with the plant in the pictures with a very light nutrient solution and it hasn't gotten any better. I've been going back and fourth on whether or not to add a small bit of veg nutes. I made the mistake of not tapering into the bloom nutes for the first couple weeks of flower. Instead I just switched to bloom nutes as soon as I switched to 12/12

So here's one of the plants I fed yesterday. Doesn't seem to be any better...although it's just been a day. These pics are pretty much more of the same but I did notice some purple streaking on the stems. The strain is critical mass from mr nice if anyone has any experience with it. I'm also growing lsd from barneys and it doesn't really have any yellowing at all.1.jpgIMG_8904.jpgIMG_8908.jpgIMG_8910.jpgIMG_8911.jpgIMG_8913.jpgIMG_8915.jpgIMG_8917.jpgIMG_8922.jpg

After flushing and later a feeding...the plant has turned completely yellow. Almost all of my plants are affected with yellowing except for a few which seem to be perfectly healthy which makes things even more frustrating in diagnosing the problem

Chlorosis. Iron deficiency. Prob ph a little high - powdered product available to dilute

Edit: should have said, the product is sequestered iron, but it might be a bit late for that - Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Do you think my tap water doesn't contain enough iron maybe? I'm also experiencing the same problem with tiny seedlings at the moment

Hi. With the mature ones - Don't rely on your water for iron, it's in the soil - just can't be accessed by these plants at ph neutral(7) - and I reckon you're not at 6.5 - it's a classic symptom, the chlorosis, of Fe (iron) deficiency - your leaves (at least in the pics) look pretty good, it's just the colouring that's going wrong for a good while before they start to shrivel or go brown - sequestered iron is what you should have had when you first posted this up - sorry, I wasn't really around to see it - but you'll probably be ok - fingers crossed
The seedlings are a different thing altogether - what's the story there?

Good luck

or too much zinc from a high ph? (though I think my ph is in the 6.5 range)

Not likely - the 'too much' needs to be there in the first place - and I doubt the soil manufacturer put too much in

Edit - trust me - if it was too much zinc they'd look a whole lot worse a whole lot sooner

Interesting, you're the first person to have mentioned anything about iron. I'll certainly look into it.
