I went to my local nursery awhile back to pick up a tub of Jack's and they told me it's all they use for their plants. I don't know what constitutes a large nursery, but this one was pretty big.

And I can tell you from working on fruit farms that they too use pre-mixed nutrients.

Personally, I have no issue with someone making their own nutes, but I like my ketchup made by Heinz as they probably make it better than I do.
i'll admit it, i buy nutes cause i'm lazy. i'm almost too lazy to mix my teas. maybe not lazy but i just don't have the time.

jack's is far from using dynagro. it's basically a premixed salts formula. you can get lbs. of jacks for less than you pay for a liter of dynagro.

farmers may use premixed nutes but they aren't dynagro. they are buying premixed salts formulas from local guys. not buying commercial shelf nutes like most mj growers.

On a side note, google ketchup recipes, simple as shit and tastes much better, just doesnt last as long because you dont put 100 pounds of salt in it. But If your just eating hot dogs, heinz is great

To be fair, dumping a bunch of salts into a reservoir is a lot more straight forward than making ketchup. And I mean, couldn't you take what you're saying a step further and say that you buy weed because it's easier than growing it?

Would it last as long if you put 100 pounds of salt in it? I'm good at putting salts in things. I can do that.

No mayo on the fries but the kids like ranch on pizza. Makin meatloaf now and I also put homemade ketchup on the top before I bake it because the kids dont like mushroom gravy, tomorrow will be blackened grouper and wednesday will be fajitas, not a big hot dog eater, south florida is good for fresh food

i hear that. costa rica is great for fresh food. plus i fish a lot so we get some tuna and a lot of dorado. whenever i go home though...i binge on some of my favorites; italian hero, hot pastrami on rye, sushi, prosciutto, pizza, a good steak. lol.

i do ketchup on my meatloaf as well. i like meatloaf sandwiches with ketchup.

Fruits & fish are great here, I grew up on a farm in the midwest so I hate florida beef n veggies. I dont give a shit what anyone says but organically grown veggies in dirt are way better than the hydro grown shit we get here, thats why I grow my own veggies. Not much dirt down here ya know. Growing weed out doors is a pain in the dick when its 95 degrees with 100% humidity for 8 months a year, and the daily rain storms we get will break every branch you have if not covered(not very stealthy) law enforcement really, really frowns upon growing so il take my tent with mh/hps in an air-conditioned house any day. I dont mind being a "dumb newbie" who grows in a tent.

I don't think UB called anyone dumb for growing in a tent.....he just said he never grew in one and used parts laying around for his set-up. UB is abrasive, and gives everyone enough ammo to shoot back at him....but you don't have to make stuff up about what he said.

Sorry but post 851 says "tents are another voluntary form of enslavement just like scrog", past posts have been made saying scrog's are for dumb newbies who buy into forum myths, so if u say a scrog is for a newbie who buys into forum myths, and then compare a tent to a scrog, then ur sayin tents are also for newbies. Just sayin. Im not attacking UB, no reason to, I just want to know why a person who runs greenhouses and buys dry salts by the pallot would buy a litre of a liquid nute. Im just a dumb newbie tryin to learn something

Oh......the seven degrees of separation.

I don't grow in tents only because I don't have to.....like UB I built my own grow-room only because I like doing that sort of stuff. The only things I buy from my local hydro-store is soil, smart-pots, and bulbs. I DO frequent the store though as I enjoy talking about growing....and the chick behind the counter is a hottie.....who also uses Jacks for her own grows.

i hear ya man. i grew in tents at my house for years just cause it was convenient. and i wasn't a newb. i didn't want to change to layout of my workshop or start building walls and stuff. just stuffed two 8x8 tents in the corners and called it a day. i'm a developer and i own every tool imaginable but i still chose to just buy 2 tents. they went up in 30 minutes and more importantly...they came down in 10 minutes.

no chance of growing outdoors where i live either. not to the scale that i want to either. i'm not trying to have 50 plants in my backyard or out at the farm. to many chances of somebody seeing it. people are nosy as fuck here and love to just "stop by." with the humidity, monsoons, and bugs it's not even really an option. 10" of rain in a day isn't that uncommon here.

we get crazy organic fruits and veggies down here. people really don't use pesticides on anything; they all have some homemade remedy for bugs and stuff or they are growing up in the mountains and bringing it down to the local fruit & veggie stands. i grow as much as i can on my farm but it's not on the commercial level at all. it's just for shits and giggles. although we do trade our avocados, juplones, and plantains to the lady we get our broccoli, lettuce, and tomatoes from.

we get tuna ever once and a while. nothing like fresh sashimi. we get a lot of dorado too. my favorite fish for fresh ceviche.

we get these with little spearguns in the rivers. they are called "machaca" down here. not sure what that translates to. great on the grill or fried.
GOPR0029.jpg GOPR0006.jpg

when the rivers are lower we go for freshwater shrimp or "langostinos" as they call them. you go at night with an underwater flashlight, mask, and a homemade mini pitchfork. they are delicious. between 4 of us we can get 50lbs in a good night.

i just don't get how a guy who says he owns a nursery can't take a picture of some of his plants. i took pics of my plants and i just have a little farm. i'm a developer, i would't have a problem taking pics of my tools or something i built.

UB did say we won't catch him growing in a tent. He also accused the tent for causing high humidity which is not true at all. I don't have humidity problems in my tent. Then he goes off with a rant about my comment lol. I know he means well but he needs to tone it down a bit.
