The Widow Cindy is a hybrid variety.
when you cross a hybrid variety back onto itself,
the result are unpredictable and some will be very bad.
Some may be excellent,
if you have the room to grow out a bunch,
and look for the good one.
Now if you have another variety to cross this hybrid to,
you might find more winners.
We still don't know how this widow/cindy cross is going to fair.
You and I will be the first to know.
Thank you for the explanation. I am still trying to firgure out this whole 'gene pool' thing.
So my other question was how long can I store pollen? I have heard about a month. Is this correct? If so I don't know if that fits my time window very well.
I am figuring that I will grow these out, try to collect pollen, find a female or 2 that I want to keep and keep cloning for furture gardens. While these are vegging and soon to be flowering I am also vegging out those other females I talked about earlier.
So when those females (other set of clones not WC) are mature, or ready to accept pollen, I will hopefully have some WC pollen to pollenate a few branches.
Just to recap these are the clones that I will have ready for my next batch after the WC, hopefully harvest around December or January 09.
They are 818 OG Kush, Dabney blueberry, OG Banana, Bubba Kush, Grandaddy Purple, Purple Voodoo (this pheno is
very neon purp when grown right), Pure Kush, Snowcap, and I have some Godzilla (new strain) seedlings that are behiend the WC by maybe a month and I just aquired an OG kush cutting.
This whole breeding thing is some ways down the road but I am trying to get a good understanding of it all right now so I am prepared. It will be my first time doing anything like this and I am very excited to do so!!
