Im looking at this pump and it retails for $2000 http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/tls/4023436474.html

from what i can tell from trying to use conversion tables and reading as much as possible is that it pulls down to 1 micron area, and displaces .75 cfm???

Can anyone tell me if this would be a good buy for $200?
from what i cant tell it is, but the only thing that scares me is the .75 cfm

it also has a anti suck back valve, or i can buy a yellowjacket superevac9 retails for 400.

if anyone has any input im going to look at it at in 6hrs

It will work, but one cfm is pretty small and there is no need to pull to one micron. In fact, THC is boiling below room temperature at that vacuum level.

Will the cfm make.my purge time a lot longer?
Or just change the amount of time it takes to evac. My chamber?

Once you get the chamber evacuated, it would probably keep up. I'm considering a dual pump system for the Evapanator rotary evaporator, one to do the initial evacuation and one to pump the solvent laden fumes out when we cold boil.
