Drugs should just be legalized, the state should stop trying to babysit everyone.

At this rate they are going to have forums monitored so they can enforce thought crime laws. Even forbid should people think to judge the government, such action is seditious, it teaches irreverance to the police (who are fucking imbeciles) and the judges (who don't know what the Constitution is) and the politicians (who are all power mongering cock-suckers).

Well, not really, but it seems like it after hearing about BS like that.

I was watching some show on Nat Geo about mexican drug cartels, and the police on there are saying what a horrible problem it has become, and how they are getting more powerful, and more violent every day. ANd they ask how are we ever going to stop this, HMMMMMMMMMMM, gee, what gives these DRUG cartels their power. HOw could we ever possibly prevent people from importing ILLEGAL DRUGS. HMMMMMMM. I guess the world may never know.

:smile::lol:

Well, you know, to remove that which gives power to the drug cartels would remove power from the government also, and the government isn't about to let that happen...

The dude did try to run down the cop - what would you do if he tried to run down your Dad or Brother?

Two wrongs don't make a right, but he brought it on when he tried to run down the cop - his choice.

Possibly the dude should have realized he was caught and be a man about it, not run and he would have gotten a fine instead.
Those cops have families, why should some POS risk their lives and EVERYONE on the road !!! They should have shot him, then beat him.
Now the taxpayers have to pay for ;
1)his defence
2)jail
3) his medical
4)the trial, judge,d.a.,prosocuter,court fees, etc etc.
5) and finally prison
Plus this f==uped country, he'll sue and be a millionaire!
When your told to stop, STOP, or lose your rights! Your not special, neither am i, and if you get caught, man up and shut up, take what's coming to you without putting others in danger.

I really doubt that he was going to get up after being flung from his vehicle.

And the idea is that the COURTS not the cops decide what punishment is warranted for a person's crimes.

Like I said, line them up against a wall and kill them all.

I wonder how you would feel if that dude, while running from the cops, hit and killed YOUR daughter, sister, wife, mother, etc?What if EVERYONE that was pulled over ran?
I HATE cops more than most, but more i hate a***oles that put inocent people in harms way.

That doesn't change the fact that it is for the court's to decide what punishment is warranted and not the cops.

The reason why the branches of government were divided into an executive. legislative and a judicial branch is prevent assholes (like those cops) that are high on their power from acting like judge, jury and executioner all at once.

For us to ignore that lead to a break down of society, and a reversion to might makes right. It is not good for any society to have that kind of failing, especially when that failing empowers the government to act in an arbitrary fashion.

Now, as far as what should be done with the guy, well, he should of course be tried for attempted vehicular manslaughter, and I wish he would also be sentenced to death, but that is a decision for the courts to make, and not myself.

In most cases i agree, however , innocent until proved guilty should not apply when your witnessing the crime in action !!!!! Should you ask an armed robber nicely to comply? no, shoot him.
When people committ acts in public that directly effect others safety they should lose all their rights til in custody, then the courts take effect. Look at the 50's and 60's, cops gave out punishment and IT WAS a deterent !
I'm not saying for cops to have a free hand EXCEPT in cases where others lives are in danger, better one perpatrator dead than an innocent.

Lol, I of course have to agree with your application of what is called the Castle Doctrine (the right to protect property by force, or to hold your gound when faced by the threat of force.)

However, if you are not threatened, then the Castle Doctrine is not going to apply. To merely witness a crime and reacting with lethal force is illogical.

Are you going to shoot a child for just taking a candy bar?

Now, on the other hand if the criminal is visibly armed, I can definitely see how using force first and asking questions later makes sense.

However, if you watched the video, you would see that the man was prostrate on the ground when he was attacked by the officers.

He was for all intents and purposes detained, because I don't think he was going to get up after that, because at the least he was stunned. He might have been suffering a concussion or been blacked out. He wasn't moving when the cops decided to show their ability to mimic what they see on their favorite wrestling shows.

Let me put this in plain terms, this dude heard the sirens and refused to stop, it just so happens no one got hurt this time. I think that type of direct violation of a police order DESERVES pre-court justice. I think the officers should get a metal and this should happen more often when a***oles directly violate the law and put others at harm!
peace......
