Hey ladies and gents,

I was wondering if you could help me at all. I've just set up my first grow tent and all was going well, until I switched on my ventilation system, and the extractor did not come on i seem the light on the extension come on for a second and then switches off. I had to wire the power cord myself, was no diagram to follow but cut the green and yellow ( to be out of the way ) and screwed in the blue and brown. For some reason this is not working for me. Any ideas why? Any info would be muchly appreciated! Thanks in advance it's a Axial air intake fan, 185 m3/h, 125mm if that helps.

Did you try putting a volt meter across the blue and brown to see if you still have voltage. Sounds like you blew a breaker or something.

Hey Hook Daddy!

Thanks for the quick response! I am not going to lie, I do not have a volt meter currently. How would I have blew a breaker? I only cut the earth and connected the blue and brown. Would a light still show for a second on my extension lead when turning on if blown? Am I able to fix this at all? Sorry I am a newbie, facing hiccups I did not expect

You could have blown a breaker, something happened since you saw the light come on then immediately go off. Unplug the fan from the cord and plug something you know works in. If it works it’s not a breaker.
