Good quality competition will suck them away quicker than that, as celebs, reporters, companies and governments switch over, many movers and shakers are actively looking for alternatives. Twitter is a niche that is important to reporters, celebs and others in the public square. The thing about twitter is you can cross post to it and put a link to the new social media site in your tweets. Where there is a problem, there is also an opportunity and a twitter isn't hard to clone or setup for a small fraction of what Elon paid for twitter. Shit Trump's own Bullshit social is a twitter clone about to go tits up because an asshole runs and posts to it too!

So pineapple head didn't ask any truck drivers to contribute to the design of his truck. That is hardly surprising, given that he has such obvious control issues...You don't tell muck what you want, muck tells you what you want.

The only way to save twitter is to install a responsible manager, a competent security team, some lawyers who are more familiar with ethics than knowing how to spell it....And ban muck from making any decisions.
Otherwise, he'll drive it into the ground, and it won't take two years. If he continues unchecked, i don't see it lasting into 24.

Twitter suspended the accounts of several journalists who have been covering the company and Elon Musk's takeover.

The move comes a day after the social media platform changed its policies revolving around accounts which tracked private jets, including a jet owned by Musk.

Journalist's whose accounts were suspended include New York Times reporter Ryan Mac, Washington Post reporter Drew Hall, CNN's Donie O'Sullivan, Matt Binder of Mashable, The Intercept's Micah Lee and Steve Herman of Voice of America.

The accounts of independent journalists like Aaron Rupar, Tony Webster and Keith Olbermann were also suspended.

A social media company called Mastodon, known to be an alternative to Twitter, was also suspended from Twitter on Thursday.

As a guy who retired from driving trucks I'd give the design 3 thumbs down as well. Imagine getting out of there when you spin out on an icy hill and your rig starts sliding backwards down a long hill. Great time to be jumping out of a back door.

Did they even look at other trucks before coming up with that toy I wonder.

:peace:

Elon can kick anyone off he so chooses.

Terrible idea, just makes twitter less relevant faster, but that's fine. Everyone else should leave as well.
At this point i think it would be better if it just crashed into the ground full force as quickly as possible, doing as much damage to as many people as possible when it did it.
SOMETHING needs to bring home the fact that social media platforms with huge audiences need outside moderation that they cannot interfere with, as they OBVIOUSLY cannot be trusted to do a fucking thing, themselves.
