Swag, any particulars that interest you in relation to my Kava experience? :D

What was it extracted with, an was it lemon flavored as well as scented? Did you feel that there was any of the acclaimed liver damaging effects (not that they can be easily detected, physically speaking) with using it to potentiate alcohol? Do you prefer it over making tea from the root? What % of kavalactones is it purported to possess? Can you give me your source ? A recent horrible incident this weekend with some (10 orally consumed at once) blue etiz. after three drinks of spicy everclear ridden jungle juice has led me to swear off recreational benzo use forever (not that I all that much enjoyed their effects to begin with) and I'm even highly contemplating alcohol if kava kava has the same or less liver damaging properties (which aren't even that significant to begin with).

You wrote more than what I can bite off and chew!

I lost you when you started going into the feverish incident of spicy everclear ridden jungle juice...

You almost made me outbreak into a cold fitted shackle of laugher. ;)

Give me a brief breather. And I'll recount my Kava experience and your elongated neurotic weekend episode.

Ah, age barrier in the lingo I presume (no offense, could just be difference it location). Let me elaborate.

Spicy: A strong tasting alcoholic drink, contains such a high ABV it burns like a strong cooking spice when consumed.

Jungle juice:(n.) A heavenly concoction composed of liberal amounts of everclear, vodka, or other available liquors, and Kool Aid. Known as 'jungle juice' because it sends the drinker into a state animal behavior. Can also include fruit bits that have been soaked in liquor for several hours prior to drinking session for maximum drunkenness. Side effects from consumption include blacking out, waking up in strange places, and having a generally awesome time. (copy and pasted off urbandictionary.com)

An forgot 190 proof Everclear is illegal over on the west side so the brand must not be too popular over there. Cause I assure you its not the taste people are looking to get outta it! For most kids my age its all about alcohol and nothing else, sometimes weed is accepted. Not sure what its like for Cali. or other MMJ friendly states like Colorado though. Doing ecstasy, mushrooms, acid, cocaine, heroin, ect. all gets you labelled a " dirty druggie" in most teenage/young adult circles today. Except for pharmaceuticals... their legal

Ah found it, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16698188. If I remember correctly similar problems seemed to occur in Rick Strassman's study with DMT and having it be in a more physiological geared clinical setting, albeit the side effects not life threatening.

I found your chemical interpretation, highly sensical... that's all! ;)

I understood you too well. For a minute I thought I was speaking!

Chemistry would be that much more glamorous if we asserted adverbs and adjectives. That's why Sasha was such a Shakespearian in the chemical department. He knew how to dress chemicals in the cutest outfits. ;)

Well not exactly  but yes in essence that's it. If your "cool" you do oxy/xanax (some if it gets bad enough progress to heroin but the social stigma around H quickly brings them out of the "cool" category and into the "junkie" one), drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes (usually newports). Basically all the stuff emulated on TV by shit excuse for rappers like Lil' Wayne and others like him. I just met a guy a while ago whose strictly a pot smoker and occasional drinker, was boasting about how he read some article that showed marijuana stimulates neuron growth yet when a friend I was with at the time retorted about reading a study that showed LSD and other tryptamines could promote new beneficial neural pathways he just said "Eww acid, shits bad for you. Stores in your spine." Both my friend and I are relatively intelligent guys when it comes to recreational drugs and we both could have shut him up in a matter of minutes from giving legitimately sourced facts about it but we both decided "Whats the use, after all ignorance is bliss." I've given up all that petty high school/college social bullshit a while ago though, I know who I am and who my friends and I wear the narrow minded given title of "druggie" proudly cause truth be told I love almost all drugs in moderation :) (Sorry to derail the topic of the thread so much )

Then I know I'm in good company :D. One of my favorite quotes by Shulgin was about him comparing the interstices of chemistry to that of good sex/porn but I can't find it on the web to quote sadly... speaking of which I need to buy myself a copy of the semi-new "Shulgin Index" and another "PiHKAL" (left my previous one on a Greyhound bus )

Yes. The Shulgin Index commensurates all his previous works in a brilliant way! Although, if you want to "quote" me on the chemical outfit tidbits I would be most flattered! ;)

Well, it's good to know Shulgin's work is reaching far and wide throughout the country, passed along by a GreyHound of all things.

I have numerous books on my wish list. Placed an order today for Richard Schultes, "Ethnobotany: The Evolution of a Discipline." And to whip out some chemical reactions, I invested in the "Organic Chem Lab Survival Manuel," by James Zubrick. My head will be buried deep for the next couple of months! :D

Hi guys, subbed. I have 20 pages to catch up on but first let me say I am fascinated by what nature has given us. I grow a few beauties and have a lot of things left to plant as well as a few that are difficult to germ so I'm still trying (e.g. my Mimosa Hostilis seeds won't sprout).
Cannabis, Salvia, Shrooms, Syrian Rue, Ipomea, HBWR, Caapi- some of the things I'm working on.
Peace:)

Welcome Mr. Miyagi! :D

Take a ticket, sit back, and let the Ethno creatures overcome you. Glad you have a Dr. Green Thumb type of trigger finger. As God once said, "Impregnate the Earth!" Organic matter is a trip. ;)

Happy to hear of your new endeavors.

The best things on earth come with age. It does not only refer to widely selected varieties of wine and liquors. ;)

Aged Trichocereus Cacti and most cacti for that matter, ripens beautifully with age.

Glad to have a new comer grace the Ethnobotany Stage! :D

Did those 20 pages swell your head good buddy? ;)

And sure. Marijuana makes new neuronal pathways. Yet, LSD deforms the spinal column. You always have those kind of stigmas tied to drugs all long as the government interferes. Sorry, to all those activist but the government will always regulate on compounds of that particular nature.

Tangoing with strong benzodiazepines can always lead to things out of your control. It's a relaxation medium. Etizolam is fairly cleaned in my limited experience of the compound; but, anything above the 10mg mark when no noticeable tolerance has been achieved can wreck your night or weekend without a doubt! I hit rock bottom when I underestimated the power of Phenazepam. I will retell my account at a later time!

The Kava Kava extract was indeed scented and flavored. I conducted 3 trials over a 3 day period, each time the effects slowly manifesting themselves in a more prominent way. I'm not sure how concentrated is, but the effects were noticeable, and pleasurable. When combined with alcohol I noticed no particular liver strains that would indicate any sort of liver distress. However, I made sure to drink plenty of water (8 cups a day to be exact). I received 250grams of Stone Kava Root but yet to prepare it. I'll be experimenting with the root later this week. The effects of the root are suppose to be remarkably stronger, as the extract, is suppose to be a fast and on the go remedy to aid anxiolytic ailments. I'm sure I'll get pretty loaded on the Stone Kava based on all the prolific reports. :D
