to sit here and explain it to the point where u would understand it like someone who plays it, will take 150 hours itself lol..

its like playing a game with no limits, no barriers, no written destination, no single objective... no main objective.. just live in a post-apocolyptic washington dc after the chinese drop a nuclear bomb on us..
and yea there r add ons for an additional 10-20 bucks where u visit like phili or some shit and gain an additional 50-100 hours of gameplay..

Dude, the pit was fantastic. I loved that add-on so much. But Broken Steel is the one that kicks up the level cap from 20 to 30, right? That's the one I still need to get. For all you guys who are slowly being convinced to get the game, buy the game of the year edition. It comes with all the extra features and is definitely worth your money.

bah, fallout 3 sucks compared to borderlands.

I suggest anyone who likes fallout 3 check out borderlands.

I don't feel like really explaining the gameplay, but it's just dramatically better.

honestly that game has 3x more potential gameplay than fallout 3. and it also has 17million weapon/item combinations that are procedurally generated.

it has a playthrough 2 in which you can play the entire game over again with your same items at level 35 or whatever, allowing you to get much better items, fight much harder things, and essentially have more fun.

you can't determine that borderlands is a bad game with ONLY an hour or two of gameplay.

I played the game a few months back, one of the best games i've ever played.

It's better to have the expansion packs turned on from the beginning and then go do the mothership add on and get the wicked guns from there, then do the simulation mission where you get the power armour that doesn't require you to train to be able to use it.

The only thing I didn't compeletely do was point look out, but by that point I'd had enough having played it for about 4 weeks solid

I know a previous poster mentioned just wandering around the game world....
I have a game called gothic 3,it's a more traditional rpg, with swords and the like. But the world is fucking massive and detailed.I put it on god mode and just wandered the landscape....and I got to this cliff overlooking this domed city at sunset in the game world, and I sat there with my mouth hanging open at the view. It's another great game to just roam and do as you will.

LOLLLL

you have no idea what your talking about then

i am an avid gamer, spend at least 6 hours a day gaming

i played fallout three for a total of about 200 hours before i got bored

i bought borderlands on the PC on the PC release day

i was bored and max level in 3 days

its not open world, its linear, diablo style gameplay of the same quests over and over again, with very little actual explorable world

fallout 3 > borderlands

as far as the bajillion weapons thats what brought me into the game to

but in reality there are only 9 weapon types

shotgun
rockets
sniper
SMG
combat rifle
repeater pistols
machine gun
revolver
pistol

thats it

adding a plus x fire damage or playing with the stats doesnt really change the fact thats its still a shotgun

or its still a sniper rifle

you obviously didn't play it long enough to figure out the true diversity in the weapons.

did you even play playthrough 2?

regardless. I think you may just have a completely different taste in games as me, but I am not wrong about the diversity of the weapons. the fire-rate, accuracy, projectile type, color, scope or no scope, elements, etc. all that is flexible and procedurally generated, fallout 3 is pathetic by comparison.

yeah, fallout 3 is the shit..i remember when i played it on my shitty pc..shit lagged till the end(with all the dlc too)..now i got myself a xbox and a 42 inch screen..fucking massive..i have the game o the year edition and this game still is rocking!!!!And no lags anymore!!!!

and yeah, gothic 3 is also a fucking good game, a perfect game, nr.2 after fallout 3..

and the boarderlands-that just plain sucks..many weapons, still they all look pretty much the same, just different colors and shit..phhh...fucking lame ass game and nothing compared to fallout!!!!
