Fans leaves starting to fall off, getting concerned, any thoughts??

So...let me start by saying this is a pretty basic/primitive grow-Organic MiracleGro soil, 1-3-1 bloom, sunlight (indoors).
I had exposed her I sub/heat stress a while back, which left some larger fan leaves burnt/damaged in spots. Recently the leaves have been slowly going limp, crunchier, and then falling off (lower fan leaves at this point). New growth lower on the plant is coming out somewhat crunchy as well, turning brown at times, and falling off. New growth higher up seems to not be in the same state, but some leaves or rolling down, like an upside down taco shell.
The plant has maintained growth and is approximately 5', in a 5 gallon planter, and gets watered approximately every 7-8 days.
I've had an issue with fungus gnats, but have only seen them in the soil (none flying around the plant). I've also noticed the soil is fairly impacted, I took a thin branch and tried to stir up the soil to aerate it a bit.
Could this be from overwatering, drainage issue, fungus gnats, or did I fuck up the roots poking the soil with a stick?
I know fan leaves fall off close to the end of harvest, but she's no further then 2.5-3 weeks into flowering. Could really use some info/reassurance here.

Lol, I always forget to add the pics, just added. I should note that I used Crawling Insect Killer with diatomaceous earth for the gnats, didn't get em, just used an organic 3 in 1 with sesame oil (just used today). The plant was put in soil around April 30th, estimate around 110-115 days

Yeah I was concerned I was watering too often. I waited until I thought it was super dry before giving anymore, around 8 days, but the soil always felt solid a few inches below dry topsoil. Is this a drainage problem or was it still not dried out? I've been keeping a house fan pointed at the soil to help dry her out too

Regular MG without the time release can be used, if you are in the 3 month or 6 month release, every person who has tried to flower in it has had problems.

you probably have a too wet lower root zone where they arent even taking in the stagnant water. Let the whole pot get dry.

I don't think it's a time release type, not even really sure what that is haha. If I'm not mistaken it just said Potting Soil and maybe moisture control. I remember looking for soil that helps prevent overwatering, ironic haha

Do you think there's any other issue besides the possible overwatering, would that cause my fan leaves to get like this?

its potting soil, its for people who are lazy and forget to water their houseplants.

It looks like overwatering to me. Does the pot drain well? Maybe you are getting too much water built up in the base of the pot?

Definitely like fabric pots for this... worst case, you can sit the damn pot right on top of a fan to blow air into the bottom and dry out the base of the pot

Is it a "moisture control" or some variation of soil that is supposed to hold moisture?

Drill holes in that thing to get some air in, moisture out, like at this point on the sides. I drill mine all out w a big paddle bit then line w weedblock fabric, too late for this one but u cud drill small holes all over, like a smart pot.

Try coco next time, eliminates a lot of overwatering problens and eliminates the need to let em get bone dry...

I was actually thinking about trying this, but wasn't sure if I'd cause more harm/stress to the plant.

It's a moisture control, to prevent overwatering

the last time I gave her a decent watering, the water draining from the bottom was super slow getting out and definitely did not drain out too much. That's when I started trying to aerate the soil, but that doesn't seem to have worked. I imagine I'll try drilling some air holes along the side of the planter, blasting more fans, and not watering for a while.

Yeah I'm sure this is all my doing lol. She hasn't been draining at all-gonna try the fan idea and drill some air holes
