nietzche and sartre and I can take keirkegaard. This was all years ago tho. Mostly for the last decade I can only say that my advice has any "perfection" to it at all. Lol. If they were to say that the mary magdellan was his wife finally then I would occasionally go to church to pick up chicks. But that deathbed confession stuff has destroyed the chances of real enlightment for societies, peoples, and so on. It needs more of a warrior code, like the japanese had with suicied over dishonor and such, seppaku. Mix that with Nietszche and Hemingway the all time best philospher next to me and that is a revoltion worth listenting too. I have been to the hospital in the past maybe five time expecting to die, and every time I had "a farewell to arms" to read one way or another to read. For the individual, the thinker in tota, good literature could and prob will have too, serve as the best philoshies published. Has something to do with connections and thought derived or conclusions came to on your own. "fight the good fight" is not heard anymore. Sic transit gloria mundi. Beautiful women are a good philosophy. There is all the truth anyone needs. Maybe it is because the baby jesus stold the word "easter" from the name of the saxon goddess of spring. That chick that after I prayed to all my plants turned female! Lol. Happy new year.

Todays definition
Philosophy is the study or creation of theories about basic things such as the nature of existence, knowledge, and thought, or about how people should live.

I think its meaning has been lost to create a finger to point, rather than a point to finger.
Not sure I get your point...........

What is our purpose in the universe? Were we created or did we explode into being? What happens to us after we die? bongsmilie

I was using your basic question to follow up with the standard definition of philosophy.
It had no meaning :)

i would love to but i cant stair at this screen any longer, ill catch you later

But lets get back to basics shall we, or at least touch base..maybe build a little cabin, who knows maybe set up shop, it'll only be you around so you can grow all you want, depends what strains you wanna grow, they all trip differently..but after you get to smoking your herb you google map your whole area and notice people scattered around nestled into their own get-up, not even noticed by others because we all had our own. And those plants where soulbound to you(lol if you play wow) but thats all good because you chose those strains and your hard work is what built your 'strains' up thro perfecting that plant and dancing in harmony with it, because of course they heal you. and your strains burn bright on ne weather front and when exposed, the sky of stars will match your illuminessence as you burn bright, and thats what you do, match on some dank w/ the stars, but they're so many that nobody will ever want to chose the same star(s).

But ill be back to talk some philosophy.

Seeing as how no one else can read...

I attended an Eastern Orthodox church as a child, and never really considered this part of the creed until now.

I do not see how the addition of filioqe does anything other than detract from the power of god, Jesus was not god he was a man.

I think the fundamental problem is the masculinization of god, which is what this part of the creed solidifies, making the father/son relationship the property of god...

The whole trinity is complete bullshit.

God simply as the spirit proceeding through Jesus makes more sense, if this distinction is meaningful to you.

Filioqe fetishises paternal relationships so heavily leaned upon in the church to extend its power onto family life, and create 'natural' hierarchy to be exploited for control issues across multiple levels, naturally.

Its about the removal of the power of god from women especially.

I know my sister felt cheated by such structural relationships...

For those into newer thoughts.... Ayn Rand.... rabid individualist... Atlas shrugged and FourtainHead are both good stories with alot of her philosophy buried in them...
