Female Dog In Heat And My Male Dog Is Going Absolutely Nuts. Won't Calm And Down.

Hey everyone. Anyone know of a home remedy to get a male dog to chill the hell out.. when its near a female dog that is in heat?

I've heard and read about people using menthol and rubbing it on the underside of the female dogs tail. But.. I don't happen to just have some extra menthol laying around. Plus.. I'm not sure what "kind" of menthol they're actually talking about. I would guess they're talking about the 'mint' plant??

I finally got a sack last night. Some ewwww-weee gooo--wee goodness.. he said its called 'Willy Wonka'?? Whatever the name of it is.. its some fucking KILL!! Best bud I've smoked in a long long time. Got a quarter of it for $120..

but yeah.. anyhow.. I even smoked TWO! full bowl.. cashed both of them out.. with the male dog. Didn't phase him one freaking bit.. which is odd, most the time he's knocked the hell out within 20 minutes of smoking with me.

So.. anyone out there have any tips?? Or know what kind of 'menthol' those people were talking about using??

Well, here's one person with some intelligence. I'll speak with you.. if you don't mind.

You say Xanex? I'm prescribed the pink footballs (.5's) I don't know about giving them any of those though. They're fairly potent pills.. I don't wanna kill my buddy.. just want to calm the little guy down. That's all.

Don't they sometimes prescribe Valium to dogs.. to calm them down?

I don't think there anything you can do except separate them or get him neutered. They do have doggy chill pills but what is he gets outs when your not watching and does the dirty its best to treat the problem permanently and just take care of it temperately IMO

Wow calm down friend go smoke a J instead of start trolling on the website. Your on a Marijuana forum people are gonna get stone and say silly things on here all the time :-D Dont take it personally. I figured 1 out of every 6 post are usefull on here so just cipher through the usefull one ignore then ones that don't appeal to you :)

they have a point though, you need to consider who you're talking to here. your best option in animal matters is to call your vet, they wont charge you for questions like these.

that being said, find a way to isolate the dog in heat. simple solution to a simple problem, man. not one qualified vet will tell you to dose your dog for something like being in heat, that's fucked up and cruel. xanax...makes me sick to hear shit like that. and don't tell me it's a joke you all know better!!!! some idiot kid is going to read that and think it's chill to slip their pets pills

I'm not the one trolling... the people that are posting random crap in my thread.. are the ones trolling.

I've been here for a long time. Came here back in 2009...

its me ganjaluvr.. long story short.. I had a computer glitch that needed fixing. Had to format and reinstall Winblows XP on this box. Which just happened to be the box that has my account information on. Lost my password to my account here..

but yeah.. anyhow. Whatever.. I tried. I'll just figure it out on my own.

uggghhh. Here we go again.

Its fucked and cruel.. to interrupt my freaking sleep! That's whats cruel! Its not cruel to give your dog something to calm him down dude... thats like saying that its cruel for doctors to give their patients meds for anxiety.. to help calm them down.

I'm not talking about knocking him out completely man.. I'm saying "something to calm him down some."

I once lived beside a well known musician who regularly gave his dog beer especially "in season"....but that dog was really crazy until it got so drunk it would fall over and sleep...it was kinda funny but sad for the dog to be such a drunk......he also fed it xanax too.....if it's a small dog, break a .5 in half....larger dogs, give it all....certainly NOT my preference but it does work.................otherwise .call a groomer, they use chems to calm dogs for grooming.....
