OOOOooooo this is a better pic of my girl.

It's a girl #2.JPG

I am just so happy I have completely forgotten (well almost) about that nasty spill I took going down my icy basement stairs this morning...I just couldn't wait to get into my room to see if she was a girl or not. My elbow still hurts. No pain no gain... Here's the pic of those icy stairs...

room set up looks nice n clean. i like that. 1 suggestion is look intop the p[roduct called light-tight by easy grow. its the only silver coated stuff that actualy refkects the radr or ir guns. others make those claims but we tested all and they lied. it is a bit more cost but now that the IR guns can be rented out to public there has been a flood of robberies on us med people now. this stuff even blocks cell phones from working in the room. its the stuff on my walls..

this is a link for more info on it, we cant keep it in stock its getting so popular now. its similar to mylar but once mylar is wet by possible foliar you can see right through it, this is actual aluminum infused to black white polly so is way thicker. our co got an IR Agun and tested all the reflective stuff out there and this was far superiour.....just a though for your security....being leagl wont stop thieves.
dam would be nice to see the states get federal leagl like we are up here.

ona works...in the right useages. its not a replacement for a filter and isnt meant to be in the room with plants. the plant will absorb the ona chemicals and have the slight odour and taste of it. i use large jars of the gel outside in the rest of gthe house. its meant more for the left over or residule odours
we are a major distributor of both and the ona flies off the shelf as well as light tight does. im not tryin to sell anything here just showing good products to look into

Hey MTGirl,
Nice work this has been an entertaining and informative thread...i'm also newbish to this whole thing...just a quick question, and sorry if i missed the answer in the prior 7 pages but did you do a 24 or 36hr dark period before going into 12/12? I'm in that phase now hoping to jumpstart flowering...just a curiosity
Be easy,

Funny you mention cell phones! I can't use my cell phone in there at all. But, as soon as I walk out of the grow room into the basement, it majically works again. My house was built in the 1800's and is actually made of huge pieces of stone. The only thing that sucks about that is there was no electricity back when the house was built and where the stone is, there are no electricity outlets on any of those walls. Our remote temp doesn't work in there either. If I can't use my cell or temp gauge, isn't that good for that type of IR? Added bonus, I also have trained killer deer...LOL

Whoops....I didn't. Was I supposed to? Hmmmm...I actually went straight from 24 hrs on to 12off/12on and am still doing that... This plant had some noob abuse. I kinda didn't pay much attention to her, as I heard that 30-50% of bag seeds end up being male anyway. I initially sprouted 4 seeds. Out of the 4 of them, 3 were eaten by my cat. She got potted in African Violet soil and didn't give her any more nutes until she was around 4 weeks old. She had stretched a lot by 6 weeks.

So, with the odds of her being a female were, or so I thought, totally against her. I don't know if maintaining a low humidity level had anything to do with it...but I remember reading a post about low humidity and the possibility for higher percentages of females emerging, when humidity is maintained at lower levels during veg. He had like 11 seeds and only 2 were male, I think and his humidity was kept at under 30%. I actually replied to the guys old thread...but haven't heard anything yet. Actually, haven't even checked if he has, gotta do that now.

Lots of good luck with your grow! Is it your first? How many do you have that you are trying to flower? Take pics...I wanna see!

actualy bag seed is made from a hermied plant, so its what some will call a feminized seed. not 100% gaurnateed female. female and feminized are diff. feminized means to have more tendancy to be a female. and female is...female. lots of seed breeders do it then sell those and call them feminized, its why we see so many get hemies buying some feminized seeds...was done wrong. the right way is to take the hermied pollen and use it on a clone from same plant so donor mom isnt a stressed hermie and pass those genes on. so to make all that crap short...your bag seed is feminized so has more tendancy to be a female....wasnt the humidity

Worry less about what the humidity gauge reads and just pay attention on how your plants look.....
OMG speak of the devil . Scroll up Cowboylogic...was just talking about one of your old threads!!! So, what ended up happening during your future grows? Did you see any difference in female vs. males b/c of low humidity? I was JUST referencing above, how you got like 9 out of 11 that were females....:lol::lol:
