Fermented cannabis leaves for tobacco users

I thought to make this thread if someone has any good insights about fermenting leaves to use as a substitute for mixing tobacco with weed. If the thread comes out dead, I'll do the research myself and share it here.

I'm a heavy smoker on tobacco, and am thinking to switch to leaf smoking only in order to get rid of nicotine and other chemicals. But it's so harsh just dried!

Are you growing your own tobacco? Ive cured tobacco leaves and rolled joints with it. I guess its kind of like a blunt or a cigar full of cannabis. Super potent stuff.

If you have the patience to wait a year for the tobacco leaf to cure, its totally worth it.

I wish...not possible. Thats why the leaf. Would be tidy bit less unhealthy than storebought tobacco. I like the tobacco's taste tho, that's where the fermented leaf is a bad trade for me. But I'm ready for a change!

I just read a few articles on how tobacco leaves are cured and fermented. I have zero experience with this, but it sounds like a really fun side project that could be tried in a small space, and might yield something interesting. I'm gonna try a 4-8 week dry and ferment with the leaves I just lollipopped off. If i vanish it got moldy or I got distracted and forgot

I'm more interested in the idea of fermenting for brewing. Hops is closer to hemp/cannabis then tobacco is.
From what I understand hops/hemp are not close enough related to cross pollinate, but are close enough to grapht and even gene splice. The idea of breeding something that can be fermented to a good tasting beer with a properly measured dose of thc is a project I hope to one day have the time/patience/expertise to pursue

So far so fun. No mold that I can see, I have 2 jars. One very small one with a tight roll of leaves, Another with the material loosely packed, as weed leaves are a bit harder to get to lie flat. I'm keeping the jars at 110f +/- a few degrees. The smell when I opened one was really nice and sweet, the fermenting is definitely starting. Whether it will be anything good? Who knows.
