First attempt at cloning

I doubt you will need anything more than you already have. Is your tent in veg, or do you have a separate area to place them? Idk if I have a rabbits foot up my arse or what, but I got roots in a 73F/40% RH environment. This is a wooden chest that’s next to my tent.. with a small hydroponic unit.. however I’m just using it for the light. No rooting hormone, no humidity dome or seedling mat. Under the rigged set up is the cut that I rooted in a Pepsi can. 10 days later I noticed good roots starting.. After 2 more weeks in the water.. it went into a solo cup. It may be female.. no balls! Fingers crossed for that! 2 other cuts were rooted (1 in a water bottle.. the other in a McDonald’s cup) and sexed out using this method. . After 14 days.. they started growing balls since it was under 12/12... that was 2 less males in my tent scrapped early due to the method used. I literally just winged it & it worked. Yeah the tent was empty and didn't have a better place. I have the plant the cut come off in its own sectioned off corner and just flipped to flower.

Just tossed these into some moist (not saturated) peat under less than 2k Lux. It’s been 48h+ and so far no signs of deterioration. humidity 50% temp 74f. Please ignore the closet pigsty :D
So what should I look for when I check on it daily? I don't wanna mess with it or even check for roots for at least a week or more. But as far as daily inspection what do I look for?

Next time Just throw them in a big sandwich bag and don't take them out until you see roots. Simple as that. 100% success rate.
So when you say just throw in a sandwich bag how do you mean? Like have them in the rapid rooter standing up with a bag over them? I'd like to hear the process for next time please.

Yeah just put your cutting in rapid rooters or rockwool then put them in sandwich bags and mist the bag and close it. Dont worry about them being crammed or leaves touching the bag. If I have time I'll open the bag once every two days to get fresh air in there but I've done many without opening the bag at all. 2-3 days Before you take them out to plant open the bag to get them to acclimate to lower humidity and light. It's a mass medical strains technique.

So my cutting still looks like the day I cut it (last thurs) not dropping or nothing. Can I assume all is going normal? Maybe the leaves are a very slightly lighter shade of green but not much at all.

I figured I'd give it a try and see if it's something I want to do regularly. I Don't have a smaller more adequate spot to work so gonna have to use the tent. I think I'll be able to keep the environment decent enough (hopefully) just not sure about light. I have a 400w turned down to 25%. Could use some insight on the light needs please. And of course any other tips, comments or suggestions please and thanks

I usually give it another week or so to see roots coming out of multiple points. The more the better. It also helps if you plan on using something like great white when you have a lot of roots. They explode once you plant.
i put in a bubble bucket and the roots go nuts usually

Been 11ish days since taking the cutting and it looks exactly the same. So curious if it's gotta any roots starting. It's been at 90%+ humidity and 70° constant.

This is now it looks like it's doing nothing. One day I forgot to cover it and it sagged some I misted it and covered her and perked right up. I just thought I'd see at least one root by now. I must be doing something wrong.
