Day 17

I threw 2 2.7k's into the veg just so i could get a few pics of plants with the golden leaves. The last 2 pics have 2.7k right above them.

Ya, all the other plants except 1 of them are normal ( wish i had a better camera :( ). This plant has one of the weirdest mutations I have seen as of yet. I will get a picture of this plant later today when the growth is a little more outward.

Ok i enlarged the area in the picture.

I just wanted to point out the area and how large the shoots are so that you can see my confusion. Anyways on to what appears to be going on (like i said wish my cam was better so you could see this close up before it grows out of it, hopefully it doesn't but..)

There is no single end shoot from what i can see so far, its like a starting of some mass clumped branching. ya i am not an artist but this gives you an idea what I am seeing.

Anyways, center is of course branches main stem, everything with a O in it (you know what i mean) is a leaf, all green are new shoots.

The top has 5 shoots, i know first off I was thinking that the nodes on the side of the top shoot were growing out at the same time as the main but that is not the case. For every leaf there is a shoot basicaly if that makes sense :/ lol ill get a pic later or tomorrow :p (Also the sister side branch is also growing exactly the same, got to same node and then started this cluster branching weirdness..) I kind of hope that its a gene that will stick around. (and that its a fem :p lol )

Anyways this an another plant have been acting up ever since they were topped & put into a different top. Most likely all caused by rooting issues since these 2 had some very large root growth in the tray before moving.

But oh well right :p As long as they all live till i get a good decent amount of clones taken is all that matters :p Temp moms anyways lol. :p

why are you cutting them... what benefit does that give you?
Cutting them? I topped them to promote faster lower branch growth.

I am not sure if you were referring to that or possibly when i said that i was going to take x4 cutting from each. in that case a cutting is nothing more than a shoot that has been chopped @ a / angle and dipped into a rooting solution to promote roots to grow on the piece you chopped off giving you an identical plant.

These plants are only on day 18 from seed. Ya this is Bubblelicious from Nirvana too. The slowest growth i have had so far is just ending. (Topping/putting into bigger container).(2 plants are showing signs of possibly being root bound but new growth shows that the roots have found way to there new home most likely.

How many Bubblelicious did u put into the ground? did you just go x10 non fem'd? or fem'd? Did you run across any good phenotypes? One last question, how much did they stretch when they were put into flower?

Day 19

(I tried to get a closeup of the spot on mutated plant but this camera just sux. If it stays around you will see it im sure later on. not gonna kill myself taking pics :p First pic is mutated plant. )

The couple plants that have curled up leaves are bugging me out, I would have assumed that the leaf curl was either due to root problems before putting into new pot or due to heat. Last night before i wen't to bed both plants with Curled leaves did not have any leaves that were curled up but they are back when i took these pics. p19 Phenotype possibly?

Woot I could take 4x clones from each plant today but I am going to wait until tomorrow or Friday at least :p
*edit* Ok maybe Tomorrow or Saturday at least. lol it is Thursday :p **

When i take clones is it going to be cheating if I use rockwool cubes to clone in? lol.

Ok so i have decided to take some clones tonight, i was going to wait to be able to cut above the 3rd node on each branch but i have decided to cut above the second node on each branch. I am not sure if I am going to use the peat discs or maybe 1" p pots or maybe even 1/2" rockwool cubes. I may go with the 1/2" rockwool cubes so i can see the moment they root.

I have also decided to raise my lighting a few more inches above the plants to promote a little bit of a stretch.

Until i have a nice large canopy on one of the plants nut's have been reduced to 16 drops per gallon. Once I have a good enough plant with a large canopy I will try and dial in the generic nut diet.

Things are finally moving along, if things go as planned clones should be rooted and ready to be 12/12'd by this time next week. I will know the sex of these lil buggers soon enough. :)

I am about 2 hrs away from taking my first bubblelicious clones. I am not too sure as to how many I will take tonight but I know I will take atleast 2x from each plant tonight (so thats atleast what 18 clones tonight) YaY! :hump:

If I am only able to take 2x clones from each plant tonight then I will have to take the other x2 per plant tomorrow.

I will update with clone pics tonight after they have been taken.

When you top your plants you are forcing everything below the shoots that you cut off to start growing. In a nutshell. I am including an image that describes where to cut for either a fim or topping.

Day 21

I took 5 more clones today. So now i have taken clones from 8 of the 9 possible mothers. I won't be able to take clones from the 9th possible mother for atleast 3-4 days due to the fact that I had to remove 6x Large fan leaves in order for the plant to get light to all the growing shoots. (The plant is growing way to compact, i may give it some 16/8 to force it to stretch a little.)

4 of the plants now have . sized preflowers. I cannot be positive but i believe that the 4 are all male plants. I will leave these plants & there clones alive for a few more days until the preflowers get a little larger and i can truly tell. (Pretty positive they are male but whats another few days gonna hurt :p )

One of these plants is the abnormal plant that is growing a side branch that every node has at least 4 shoots per single node. If it indeed is a male i will take the branch that has the abnormality and clone it, if the abnormality exists after cloning I will bubble it up along with a female and seed the crap out of it.

The males to female ratio is no big surprise, the stable ratio on the web for m/f ratio for bubblelicious is like (male/female)
1/1. although there are a lot that have went 2/1 also but there are also those lucky 1/3, 0/4 etc. (thus this is why you never just plant one seed. spend a month taking care of 1 plant to find out its male would just suck.)

I am kind of hoping that these are the males and even 1 or 2 more males would be fine, more space & lighting for the remaining females.

The picture above is the abnormal branch of the plant, there are shoots upon shoots upon shoots. The plant is basically over producing shoots & every node .

Above are the 5 new clones taken today.
