First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

So my plants are now 3 weeks old and I've managed to keep my plants alive so far after some root problems from light leaks coming through the net pots However! After some invaluable advise on another thread, I've managed to clear it up and move forward thankfully

However I've managed to drop ph down on one leave that's now toast and on some other leaves I've dripped nutrient solution on them while moving between tanks testing and not wipes it off....noobie mistake, it'll be the last time I do that so I do have some marking on the leaves.

Now my plants are all developing the 6th node although the 5 hasn't fully emerged but my plants are so small... Left and right are 80/20 indica/sativa and the middle one is 70/30 but they just look so compact I'm not sure if this is normal because I've looked at a lot of plants and they're not quite as developed as mine but they're so much bigger. I'm not sure if I'm doing to something wrong (too much light maybe) but they look happy as far as I can see with my limites experience what do you guess think is it me or is it genetics?

Grow room temperature 24c - 75f
Nutrient temperature 20c - 68f
And room humidity is 60-70f

TIA

I think your doing perfectly fine for you first ever grow. And.... you did it right by researching first, so kudos to you dude! Welcome to the life!!!!
Stay diligent and focus on maintaining a steady environment. Watch those ppm and pH, and remember less is more with DWC. The roots are in constant contact with the nutrient solution, you want to keep her taking in elements so you should Welcome a daily reduction of ppm. Your ppm should never rise, if it does, she ain't eating. Also a pH will drift naturally depending on what elements she is taking up at that given time, as long as your still in range for all elements to be available, your good. Let them do their thing and you'll be generously rewarded.
Best of luck and all the success that comes with it!!

Thanks brother! I did so much research before I even attempted this grow because I know how many problems can happen.. and I've already had a few! It's been a very fast and very steep learning curve I have my fans and humidifier set to maintain my environment and keep it range which is great(one less this to try control).. my pH is rising from around 5.7 to 6.3 over a week and my ec has and dropped around 0.5ec and the water level has dropped around 1.5 litres per bucket during the same period. New reservoir change tomorrow. I have a long way to go yet but as long as 1 plant survives and I get some decent smoke until I can start another grow and eliminating the problems I've already had I will be very very happy!

At the rate your going, all 3 will survive, the only problem i anticipate you'll have is running out of room from all that sticky dank your about to reap. Lol, but that's not a bad thing.

Also, plants can do some weird shit sometimes, especially when your running new strains and aren't familiar with them. Don't fret, and make corrective measures before a through troubleshooting, which brings me to my next tip.... always keep a record of what you do and how the plants are responding. When in doubt, just look back on your notes.
And lastly, you can expect robust growth in a DWC, implement some form of training to make the best use of the footprint you have, and don't be afraid to prune your plants, they will replace whatever you remove with new growth.

Haha I hope so! But there's a long way to go and lots of shit can go wrong but we'll deal with that as it comes hopefully zero though the people on this site have already saved my ass once with the wealth of knowledge the have especially a guy called wastei he's like the dwc god .

Yeah man definitely totally agree! I've already got everything written down in a book for each plant each week ph ec nute measures that I've used room temperature humidity light height and light percentage everything I don't want to be trying to guess/research everything again on my next grow I'll be hoping for a much more smooth and successful run.
I'm planning on starting topping and training tomorrow. I'm an engineer so I've come up with a (potentially cunning) idea for lst and scrog net/frame so I can completely remove the lid of the bucket with each individual plant fully scrogged I'll post pictures when I've build it in the next few days.
But for now I'm just trying to keep everything simple and stable and what ever will be will.. hopefully ending with me being stoned out of my fucking head plastered to the sofa

So today i have hot glue gunned some eyelets on to the tops of the lids so the plants can still be lifted from the reservoir in case of anything and I've topped at the 5th node and even done some bending with out snapping the stem(check me out) onwards and upwards! Hopefully I'll see some nice recovery in the next week including some growth.

I just need to make my fully movable and mobile scrog net/frames now

The plants are really starting to take off now after sorting the roots and they're finally growing thick and fast (Lesson learned and experience gained) Although the bearings in my inline fan are now knackered and grinding so I'll be replacing them tomorrow when the bearing shop opens. Growing nicely at 1.1 EC. With the way they're growing I'm hoping to put them in to flower before the end of the month.

Cheers.

I've been here for about 4.5yrs, wastei is a SOLID SOURCE!!!! That's guy will never steer you wrong!

Hi guys so I have come back from work today and found my strongest plant with the most developed root system have an absolutely massive rise in pH from roughly 6 to 8 also the nutrient ec from around 1.0 to 1.3 water level is still the same as yesterday the rest of the plants are stable.
My instinct tells me to lower the ec and re adjust the pH however a chart I found before I start this grow tells me to raise the ec any help would be greatly appreciated before I mate any sudden changes.

Here is the chart for reference thank you kindly in advance

I'm not a pro, but I have some experience with DWC.
Personally, I would get the ph corrected and let the EC ride for a minute while monitoring the plant.
"An unusual state."

That I shall do just that! I also thought this option too but my experience is absolutely zero so I'm just winging it as of now I didn't want to make any rational decisions. How ever I think this could be the best solution as I would rather not raise the ec.. my other option was to drain few litres and replace (to lower the ec) and then adjust the pH accordingly. But I can always do that after the pH adjustment couldn't i?

Cheers

Well that barney's farm blue cheese was a lovely plant when I ran it , it was my favourite for several years.
Great smoke and a great yield , so hopefully it's the same for you.
The oreos is also nice , it purples up easy if temps are a bit lower at the end. Pretty strong too.

Best of luck with it all

Ohh mate, I absolutely love blue cheese so I do hope so! it's Impossible to buy where I'm from these days in the north of England if lt is ALL stardog.. and it's absolutely shite imo. that's helpful to now about the temps I'll definitely keep an eye on it then. I only put it in for the THC content hoping to have something which will plaster my to the sofa if I feel like it haha! But I'm really hoping the blue cheese comes out like the 2008 UK blue cheese because that stuff for me was unmatched but over the forums I've heard it's nothing like it used to be so I've thrown a couple of others in there to avoid the disappointment if need be haha
