I have seen where plenty of people are lieing about there age of the plants. It will take about 14 to 18 days where they are rooted enough to transplant into beer cups. They dnt grow much the first 2 weeks or so. They are in the seedling stage. When rooted they move into the veg stage and they will grow 2 inchs a day. Take a picturte if ya think they are real small. Remember ya cant over water by giving them too much(basically) but ya can over water them by how often.

okay, so tomorro is the day to transplant, and i got the perlite, so i will have that, also what is the best way to keep the temperature down in there? its getting WAY to hot, like 90's
i dont have to much to spend so somethin cheap
i have a 10 inch fan blowing right now but doesnt seem to be workin good enough, and for ventilation i just leave the door open for now, its not close to air tight so there should be plenty of ventilation

Best way to keep temps down is to shut off any heat coming into the room. Ya have to vent out the hot air. Raise your lights and that may bring the temps down. If your hood has 6 inch openings at each end hook a fan up to it and vent the air out the room. Is your set up in a closet or in a corner of a room or what? Ya may have to move the grow to a better spot so ya can controll the heat.

its in a closet...im thinking of just going cfls for now til i can find a way to fix the problem, i think that is why my plants have been growing so slow this time and last time, i really think that has been the problem all along, they grew better with the small 4ft flourecent light...

Yea thats why i said to use the small lights until ya transplant. Can ya put a 6 inch hole in the wall and vent air out? Heat is all about the venting of the air.

I am sure it would help. Cool it down and give the plants some wind. Good idea. Have ya thought about the smell? Its going to stink. A lot.

also i just transplanted into the dixxie cups and cut holes in the bottom, also added perlite,
its about
15% perlite
20% vermiculite
65% soil

i washed out the perlite pretty good to get all the plant food out, since it was shitty MG perlite
but mg perlite is better then no perlite imo

so hopefully these start takin off
cause they are midgets for 2 and a half weeks

The fan that ya have to hook up to the carbon filter will suck the hot air out of the garden.

My grow is about finished and i am planning the next grow. My plants dnt look like they should because of the heat. I ussually dnt grow in summer but i tried it. Big mistake in a way. I will still get some but with 2 1000 watters i should of had a bumper crop. It looks like shit. The moral of the story is : Its easy to grow the shit well if ya can controll the enviroment. Heat, humidity,Air and of course water and nutes. ENVIROMENT CONTROL IS THE ONLY KEY TO INDOOR GROWING!

lol well wish i would of known that before, i read everywhere and didnt think that heat was one of the biggest issues....
i guess i just didnt look in the right places :/
but now i know and have spent alot of money figureing it out lol
went threw like 20 seeds :/
but now at least i figured out that heat is a big ass issue.....90+ SLOW ASS GROWTH!!!!
so i got the fan and it droped the temperature to 85-88 instantly from 90-94
and im sure it will get lower since its only been running like 3 minutes lol,
how long do u think it will take for my plants to start growing again?
they are like 2 inches tall and llke 1 inch wide at like 2 and a half weeks lol
they will come back right?

what ive seen in this seed(planted 5 days ago) is this.... its all making s shapes all under the soil but doesnt want to poke up out and do its thang... (look at pic)

another one is cracked in half and a bid of white is coming out i planted that on monday and its going decent..

and the other 2 planted 5 days ago are shitting out, and other planted 3 days ago isnt even cracked...

so ive decided im going to keep 2 in the dirt and 3 in the paper towel and see if he paper towel gets the sprout goin....

glad these are random shit seeds to try and learn... eek
I think you might be planting the root up and the top down...That will cause the root togrow all over the place, be confused, yet the sprout will never grow up as it is facing downwards...

Way to control the enviroment! I planted 42 seeds yesterday. I harvested about six of my plants that are finished. I have about 10 to go.. The harvest yield is low because of the HEAT!! Now thats its winter i should be able to control the heat now.
