If i may suggest one thing about your scrog, it would be to look at sannie`s tutorial.

http://www.sanniesshop.com/scrog-growing.html

It will help you to grow a more even canopy in scrog.
Thanks Tricks! Sounds like good advice. This grow box is so small 3 x 2 and if I had more room I would have spread out the canopy during the stretch period. I was out of room the moment I went to flower, so I had to let the canopy run free! Next time though!

Hey, you're growing one of my favorite OG's. I'm interested to see how that does under led.
Ya so far so good under my LED! I am also growing $100 OG Kush in my other grow. Check that out too! It is in my sig (500w blackstar)

edit:

Oh, just saw your latest pix. Looks really good so far. I'm impressed indeed by that light.

Constructive criticism time:
The screen was a little too high in my opinion. That OG looks like it has a stronger sativa presence than the one I'm growing, hence the height.

Also, a scrog is better suited for a wider grow space with more area to fill up. Scrogging and training are methods of keeping the plant as low as possible to control the height of those stretchy stalks. This results in a low bush intended to grow wider instead of taller. Your box is very vertically oriented, not great for scrogging.
Totally agree with you! This started out first as an LED experiment. The SCROG screen was too high and I do sense a higher sativa presence. Because of the cramped box I bought a grow tent.

You learn something each grow. hehe Specially if your doing something new. Like growing with leds.
Guess kush is populair smoke everywhere, growing some sour kush. Altho my favorite kush is kaia.

Flower Day 29:

The buds are definitely starting to bulk up and the crystals are forming! It is very hard for me to get good lighting to take pics with my iphone. So I turned off the light and tried to get some natural light pics for you guys. I had to move this growbox into my bedroom, to make room for my grow tent, and this thing is right next to my bed. It is very hard to manuever around my bed to take the pics, but here is the best I can do for now.

Yeah, yeah... sounds like you already figured it out prior to my comment. Not surprising...an obsessive nature is what all us growers have in common. You should be proud of your accomplishment... especially if this is your first grow? Or did you mean your first LED grow?

Anyway, it looks like we're both right around day 30. I love OG grows, bro. I'm glad I finally found one other than my own to watch.

Nice. Looks like you got yourself a pretty solid OG there, friend.

Im still pretty new to growing. This is my 4th grow in total, 1st grow under LED. I grew 6 OG Kushes 1 grow (Hydro), 6 AK 47s another (hydro), 110 HOG in a guerilla grow in the hills (soil in grow bags that was sketchy as shit), and now this LED and my other current LED grow. Still learning but I learned a lot from my previous grows..

Anyways, thats really crazy that we are both almost on identical days! I can always goto your journal for reference to see if I am behind or on schedule! Well you are growing Hydro and under 1000w HPS. I am doing soil and only 300w LED (150w actual power draw). Your buds, I assume will be thicker under that 1000 w!

Yeah, the 1000w high intensity discharge lamp is tough to beat, but I went through your latest bud photos for the first time on my mac at home, and it looks a lot clearer what you've done. I'm very impressed with the overall vigor of your plants and the density of your nugs with what you call a 300w light. When you consider that mathematically breaks down to a difference of 700 effective watts, the results you've gotten with LED is astounding. If you look at it carefully, your buds look pretty comparable to mine, just my photos are clearer and my nodes are tighter. And you say you've done hydro before, so I'm sure you know if that was in a bubble bucket, your nugs would be even bigger and denser under that LED. It's a really cool gadget imo. I bet if I just swapped out my thousand watter and big ol buzzing ballast, lined my box wall to wall with say four LED fixtures (one for each side on the walls and one really powerful one suspended above), it could possibly exceed what I've done with MH and HPs. And no heat means perfect, heat-stress free plants and buds. I like the fact that your colas are like kissing the light and your leaves are all lush and picture perfect without any sign of heat stress from the light, or wind stress from the air circulation needed to cool the light. Amazing. I think I'm becoming an LED believer.

Edit:
Oh, unconscious compliment. I said plants, forgetting that it is only one plant. Good job.

Thanks again bro! Ya I'm pretty impressed with the LED technology! My Plants have never been so green and healthy. What size is your grow room? You might not need that many lights. Anyways, I'm lOoking forward to the final results, then I'll be a total diehard believer!

Looking better each time i see pics sleezy1.

Fired up my led and almost got blind. Wear some uv glasses with that shit. Way brighter then i expected, but it works.
Itching to try it out, specially after seeing the video of using led in a commercial grow.

Ive seen this video! Pretty awesome eh? I wear my gangster locs (real dark sunglasses), everytime I open up that tent or my growbox. I think my eyes are used to it, because it doesn't seem too bad anymore. I used to see white spots after looking at it.

Flower Day 30:

Half way there! Looking hairy and getting fat! Some of the hairs are turning red, but since my flash sucks it bleaches out the picture. I noticed a broken branch today! It is a pretty big branch broken right where it joins the main stem. I tried zip tying it to give it some support, but I dont know whats going to happen. It was holding on barely. It was probably my fault when I pulled the branch down a week ago trying to train it from hitting the light. arrgh

Looking good, friend. Can you point out which cola that broken branch belongs to? In my mad scientist style of system, even if there is the slightest bit of living tissue hanging on, it WILL heal itself in a matter of a few days. The healed area gets covered in woody growth and the branch is just fine, even stronger. That thing might just hang on. I've broken branches lots a times by over-aggressive training. Just make sure there is pressure at the contact point and hope for the best.

If you count from the bottom left three branches perpendicular up. Right where you see those two zip ties. Where the side branch connects to the main stem. I don't know how long it has been broken, but i think the only time i was rough with tugging was last week. It was held up by the scrog screen and the side of the box. I hope it heals!

Hey Tricks, do you use House and Garden? This is my first time using this nute, and I love it! I am asking because I think it is a product of your homeland.
