I've been trimming for about 10 hours and I got all three Dream Star plants done! I'm too tired for Purple Kush tonight. I'll continue tomorrow. So the result was...
Dream Star -
Pot #1: 356 grams
Pot #2: 326 grams
Por #3: 269 grams

Total: 951 grams = 33.5 oz WET
This was the biggest Pot #1
Pre-trim close-up. Super dank and hairy
Over 2 wet pounds of my crop from the 3 plants all hung to dry
Purple Kush tomorrow!

excellent trim job so far, too. don't worry once your hands get dialled in you'll get much quicker at it.
1 tip - if you take a small phillips head and give the screw on your scissors a quarter turn, it makes them spring lighter and you can go quicker. i find that any more than a quarter turn and you start losing cutting power but you can keep tweaking to find your 'sweet spot.'

Thanks for the awesome tip, mello! I just did what you said and I think it's going to make a difference. Diligently scraping the scissor hash and keep smoking it helps, too.
I just started trimming Purple Kush now. It requires totally different method from their sativa friend! I think it's going to be a little easier. Instead of making hash, I'm making the tinctures of Cannabis indica and sativa with those frosty sugar leaves.

They say you'll lose 75% of the wet weight when dry. I still haven't even finished trimming the first pot of three Purple Kush. I bet they yield less than Dream Star, but I think I should get 1.5 pound of Purps wet. (2 lb + 1.5 lb) / 4 = 14 ounces dry... I'll weigh in the first pot of PK in 30 mins...

You should pull a pound dry easily. I've never lost 75%, most of the time it's around 55-65, but rule of thumb is anywhere from 50% to 75%.
Holy shit! I thought with my set-up, I'd be lucky if I pulled 10 oz...

Well I'd say if you got the same from the remaining three you'll have around 1,902 Grams wet.
1902 x .75 (We'll use 75 just to be safe.) = 1426.5
SO 1902 - 1426.5 = 475 Grams
475/28 (28 grams in an ounce duh) = 16.982.
16 ounces in a LB. So hopefully just a little over a pound. Good fucking job.
I can't wait to see dry weight to sure how close I am

Just finished trimming the first pot of my Purple Kush. Surprise surprise... Those plants were much shorter and had fewer colas on each plant, but each cola was VERY dense and tight. This plant alone weighted in....... at 390 grams wet!! Seriously, I'm dumbfounded by my own green thumb. I should do this for living.... I think I may pull one whole dry pound after all from this small 2 feet by 4 feet grow tent. They have real nice purple hue to it. Absolutely beautiful sight and smell! I'm going another beer run before starting the second plant. This is my day! Here is the picture.

I'm making some tinctures with Everclear (75.5% alcohol). I LOVE the effect of it and how easy it is to ingest THC at work.... I was making the tinctures from hash and Everclear before, but now I can really make it from the real plant. It's already green!
