First Grow, aboooout 7 weeks in..

so yeah, from seed to ling to veg and now to or to not flower.. anyway Im new to this, so any good info and vibes would be awesome..

right now im hung up on lights. The main chamber where they are is about 3 ft wall to wall and out (9 sq ft and not directly on floor, about 2 inches up) 4 ft floor to top, closed in on all but front

This wasnt my seedling set up, but im ahead of that and will come back to figure out what i did wrong later..

..so the lights, I have 2 yellow bulbs on with side of the top/back equally spread, 6 inches from plant tops, and 1 adjustable laamp ( i really like he ones with clamps, they move, can be lowered or lifted depending on space and other things) with 3 of those spirally white bulbs in it . dont know really anything about it. only the word lumens.
these are currently taking care of 5 plants, hopefully all females, weeded out the 2 boys..they are a whole other story
I know that they are probably NOT getting enough light, and it needs to change, so what do you people recommend?

average temp in there is 72-76 degrees with lights on. dont know if it helps but there is a fan as well as an air purifier in there, also the room is a good size for its current function, and gets good air flow thats contained...

Yellow bulbs are 2700k bright blue and white are 5000k and 6500k...what kind of budget are you on for lights?

Two bulbs is a good start for small (seedlings) plants. As the plant grows you will need to add more.

Well you have 6 females right? You'll need some pretty good coverage, you'll probably need a 600 watt hps for that many atleast...You'll want many cfl's (the bright ones) or a T5 fixture for veg...

thats greek to me dude! yeah, 6 so far that def are not boys. my cam picked up what i missed looking at them, so i caught the 2 boys early..

Here's a pic of mine kiddo, with all CFL's (your spiraly ones) and a couple flood lights that are also flourescent.
I am in a 2x2 area, and I vegged with 46w of 2700k and 52w of 5000k CFL's for 30 days before I put her into flower.
Now I have 305w of bulbs, for a total of about $90.

They let off 90,000 lumens at 2100k temp (yellow looking light) a 1000 watt will only give you 136,000 lumens roughly

CFL are great, love them.
Especially if you get the reflectors to go with them.
The bulbs are pretty cheap too.
I'd rather use HPS if I had to pick, but money wise cfl are way better choice.

Get yourself a 400 watt mh for vegging and 400 watt hps for flowering. You might be spending a few extra bucks up front on lighting but you'll get it back when harvest time comes homie. Good luck.

thanks for all the info on lighting, like I said, I know for sure that I need more, im just popping in on here real quick, about to try and nap, that gives them a couple of hours to wake up and Ill meddle around and take some pics
