First Grow Bagseed w/CFLs (pics)

I vegged for 2 months.....BUT they went through tons of stress early on, so they probably really vegged for 30 days....if you read the first part of the journal, they were in some bad shape, so my veg time took a little longer. But, it turned out perfect, b/c my space is full right now!

seems everyone is using the lamp to socket converter plugged into surge protected strips, seems the easiest way to go for me as well nice job

Thats what I started with, but i scrapped it and built my own custom light fixtures.

Next update will be in a couple days, they really don't look any different than my last update! Maybe more frosty but thats about it!

Thats hella funny, cause I'm gonna be scrappin my homemades and buying the plug ins!:lol:

the plugins are 1.99 at the hardware store that i use right down the street, and most people have a few spare surge protector strips laying around. just a cheap way to go if u dont have alot of spare cash.
I dont even care about the price of em, they are easier to install/move around and convenient as hell!!!

These are my custom made light fixtures. I like them, because i can attach as long an extension cord as I need. They are easy to put together, and I was bored one day and made 3 of them! Plus, I had the extra wood, and the cords are only 2 bucks and the light receptacles are only 2 bucks. Just wanted to share this picture, but I can see how people like the surge protector....I just ran into problems with the cord being so short....

512 Color Pages
1120 Color Images

$30 and weighs over 2 pounds....

This is a MUST for every grower....its packed with so much information I can't put it down and recommend it to EVERYONE!!

Are you serious? I plan on pluggin the surge protector into additional cords to make it longer. Your boards are just the way I would do mine, if I had them to do over, BTW!!

yeah, i thought about plugging the surge protector into additional cords to make it longer. This thing I ran into is, the cord on the surge protector is so thick and rigid, that i found it hard to move and keep in place PRECISELY as I wanted. I just like the flexibility of using an extension cord, and making it as long as I want. But hey, to each his own. Your idea WILL work. it just didn't for me in my grow space. But that's why this website kicks ass....we all bounce ideas off each other and come up with ideas of our own, and borrow from each others' ideas......its great! Plus, like I said, I was bored one day and had the extra wood, so making these for me was a no brainer!

yea i didnt wanna say anything but there are things called extension cords. surge protectors also provide the benifit of less worry about faulty wiring and the fatal side effects:fire:

No, they protect a computers and other electronics from power surges and brown outs. A GFCI protects you from fatal side effects.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular][FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]A "GFCI" is a ground fault circuit interrupter. A ground fault circuit interrrupter is an inexpensive electrical device that, if installed in household branch circuits, could prevent over two-thirds of the approximately 300 electrocutions still occurring each year in and around the home. Installation of the device could also prevent thousands of burn and electric shock injuries each year.

The GFCI is designed to protect people from severe or fatal electric shocks Because a GFCI detects ground faults, it can also prevent some electrical fires and reduce the severity of others by interrupting the flow of electric current.

Back with an update with a bunch of pics. Here is how the girls are doing...

Today is now Day 38 of flowering. 5 weeks and 2 days

--The bigger plant on the right is getting frosty as hell......so much so that I ran to Radio Shack to pick up a 60x-100x handheld microscope so I could look at my tricomes. Its hard to use at first, but they look amazing underneath that thing! I'm still going with only the GH MaxiBloom. I'm hoping the nugs and colas get more dense between now and harvest on the big plant...I wish I had room for more light!

--My smaller plant is starting to worry me. I know that is behind schedule.....about 1.5 to 2 weeks. But, its not getting frosty at all. The colas are real leafy and although there are plenty of white hairs (but not as much as I would like) there is barely any "frost" look to it. But it does look healthy as hell! I'm going to let you guys decide!

--The root mass of both of these plants is amazing...although they are really tangled together.

I am wondering how am I going to juggle this harvest. I have 1 plant further along than the other. So when I need to flush and just run plain water in my DWC before harvest...I wonder how this is going to affect the smaller plant, which is a couple weeks behind. I guess I could flush, harvest my bigger plant, then add more nutes until the smaller plant is ready to be harvested. I don't know!

Well, on to the pics.....any suggestions are welcome!
