First Grow Bagseed w/CFLs (pics)

Looking good, the one developing no trichromes may need a few more weeks before you chop it. Looking good otherwise.

I have a single lemon kush that looks just like that, no thrichromes yet, I plan to let it run 10-12 weeks in flowering.

Dub-- Lemon Kush, heh? I forgot to add that after I got done taking pictures my fingers smelled like LEMON! They stunk like I dipped them in lemon juice. I guess when I was in there taking pics....holding branches out of the way. It was great, I told my girl I was never going to wash my hands again!! haha

Oh yeah, I fogot to mention again........I bought Jorge Cervantes bookMarijuana Horticulture. Amazing is all I can say!

Sounds to me like you have some lemon kush too.
Here is my plant:

All of the younger plants of different genetics have trichromes everywhere. I had thought about trimming more of the plant away but I really want it to be a lollipop as big as my for arm, all one bud.:bigjoint:

I also recommend Ed Rosenthal's book, he is a bit more old school but still knows his stuff, can't hurt to read a bit more eh?

I was a bit upset when I found that I could not get my lemon kush to clone easily so there is only one.:wall:

It reeks so good of lemons.

My tent smells like cotton candy, skunk, and lemon all rolled up in a ball.

Nice pics...I can see some similarities. Both of these plants are from the same bagseed though. Thats what I can't understand.....

Dude, I really dont know a whole lot, but. . . I think that yer plants are not quick bloomers! I think yer flowerin time might be closer to 12-14 weeks, than 8-10. But, the growth IS looking good.

12-14weeks, huh? Damn, i hope that isn't the case. I have learned so much from Jorge Cervantes' book that I can't put it down!

Just remember that the book is not the law, take it with a grain of salt and use it as a reference.

I'm updating today because I have some brown spots on my fan leaves. They only appear on the larger plant, so I am not sure if they are just a natural occurrence that you see on fan leaves late into flowering. My pH is stable at 5.5-5.9. Well, here are the pictures. The brown spots occur on several different fan leaves of the larger plant.

Thanks for looking!

I just discovered I have one more problem. Its starting to smell more and more every day. I built a carbon filter from a DIY link on found on this site. I attached it to my exhaust today, closed my door, and my temps rose to 99!!! I'm not sure if I need to make my intake bigger or what. I have two 80mm PC fans running for my intake....but I am unsure of their CFM. MY exhaust is 85 CFM i believe. I bought another 120 mm 85 CFM PC fan the other day for a future grow because it was cheap....but I'm thinking I should install it. I really don;t need my carbon filter on all the time though....just when family ever comes over or I have an inspection in my apt....

you need a bigger fan. you should buy a 6" duct fan, I think they are about 20 bucks at home depot and that should help pull more air in.

Can you post pictures of your entire air flow path? Maybe we can diagnose it. I would not use active intake if smell is an issue, also PC (muffin) fans will only work as a pair on a DIY carbon scrubber if there is one pushing air into the filter and another pulling air through the filter.

Active intakes will eventually push air out through any crevice and leak smell anywhere when back pressure is present at the carbon filter. I would produce multiple output fans and small scrubbers if you plan on staying small, but a 4" 250 CFM inline fan and a DIY carbon scrubber from a small laundry hamper with no intake fans would be your best bet. This will force all "loose air" to be cleaned at the scrubber and to not escape through other cracks.

Thanks for the help Dub. I think I am just going to have to roll with what I have. I literally have NO space left inside the cab. Here is a run down of my air flow. I'll try to post a pic of it next time i update.

Bottom left corner I have 80mm PC fans (not sure the CFM) blowing air into the cab. Upper right hand corner I have a 4" inline fan rated at 80CFM. I attached the carbon filter to the outside of the 4" inline fan. This is when my temps shot up....but I kinda expected it. Inside the cab, I also have a 6" fan blowing air around....especially across my CFLs. My cabinet is in an extra bedroom that I only use as a workout room. Lately, as the plants starting to get bigger with bigger buds, my temps have been increasing, so I have been keeping the door cracked until lights go off....even if lights go off with the door cracked, it is completely dark in the extra bedroom...so having the door cracked is not an issue....it only affect the SMELL!!! And what a sweet smell it is. But, I do have an inspection on my apt on Monday. I am not sure if they have to look in every bedroom or what kind of inspection it is....I'm waiting to find that out from my apt manager today.

Go to your local grow shop and ditch the carbon scrubber. Get some odor removing gel place it in the room and call it good.
