First Grow. CFL Closet Cab with Bagseed. A learning Experience!

It's amazing how much noise moving air makes. One of the reasons I keep the house A/C blower going all the time.

Bah. I just said screw it and hooked it all up. I've got a few ideas to quiet the fan. I'm gonna hook up some ducting tonight, and maybe order a speed control, maybe.... That HPS light puts out a ton of light and also a ton of heat. Gonna have to keep my door open during light hours. Can't wait to get my own place with a spare room or basement.

that's a lot of light but for five plants? is that what I see? probably just right amount of light. what do i know. they look awesome... ventilation is key.

I took a huge rip off some hash and watched this video. It was so intense.

Shit I have around that much light for 2 plants. Getting ready to be one if she doesnt straighten up.

Tonight I'm giving them possibly their last full blast of the schultz 10-15-10. They are showing Magnesium deficiency so I'm hitting them with a teaspon of epson salt as well. Probably going to pick up some molasses and some sort of different flowering nute. Gonna look around. I'll have an update tonight a couple of hours after the watering. They look bad right now but they are just thirsty.

Careful with the dosing at this point bro... Transition carefully with everything and be prepped to flush at any signs of ill effects. +rep though they look sexy!!! (keep em that way!!)

Omg.....you have a 400w HPS and a Vortex.....But you're Using Schultz plant food? Lol.

You should really step it up to something more significant if you intend to maximize the return on your investments.

Btw...I have a 4" Vortex inline as well. I know, its really loud...but apparently they're quieter than others. What i did was make a muffle box out of plywood and foam, and put the fan inside that. It cut the noise down a little, but im also going to need to muffle the exhaust vent.

Wait, i just checked your pics...That doesnt look like a Vortex. The vortex's are a powder-coated grey finish.

They've already gotten an even heavier dose of Miracle Gro All Purpose. And nah, these nutes are just fine. I don't believe in all that hype about nutes. I really need to get some pics up, I've just been lazy and been watching them grow. I've got the temps down to about an average of 85-88, with the temps getting to 92 before the lights finally go off. Doesn't seem to be bothering em though, I just make sure they don't dry out. I'll get some pics tonight. A few of em I am pretty excited about.

I thought about doing the muffler box already but my tent is already pretty cramped with that hood. Plus I'm wanting to get a cooltube, which I think is going to be bigger than my current hood. I'm probably just going to end up getting a legit carbon filter and place it on the other side of the cooltube. I figure the ducting will help quiet it a little bit more. That plus a speed switch and I'll run it on low during the night hours and high during lights on. Oh, and it's a Growbright from HTG.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Work has been kicking my ass lately. I tried to get some pictures a couple of days ago but the HPS washed everything out. But I got some pics tonight under a CFL before I turned the light on.

Alright, you can definitely see that the girls were unhappy a few days ago from the remaining damage. I wasn't using enough nutes and I had temp problems. All the new growth though is looking great and the buds are starting to get some crystals. I'm so excited about the second grow already as I know what to do and what not to do as well as finally having the environment dialed in. These pictures I took before removing the most badly damaged leaves that were already ready to fall off.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get great yields or anything. But I'm still gonna smoke it! I promise my second grow is going to be a lot better though. I'm already planning it out way in advance. I've got a single bean from a bag of some local outdoor grown that was very very nice. I think I'll maybe germ that and a couple of good mids seeds for the second grow. As well as a couple of good genetics I have yet to 100% decide on.

Did you ever get any molasses? I've been using it through my first couple grows and the girls seem to love it!!

I do have the molasses. I waited on using it until I made sure that the new nutes did their job first. I think my next watering I'm going to give some molasses and probably some epsom salt as well. Question Smelly, do you know if the plants require more than recommended nutes? Example, Miracle Gro says to feed indoor every 2 weeks. Seems kind of far apart to me though. Your opinion?

Oh. And the light is like...18 or so inches above the tallest plant top.

I'm not familiar with the MG nutes at all but I would be very careful because I've read that stuffs pretty strong.. With that being said, you gave them a feeding last watering right? I know my girls take in FF nutes every other watering so thats around once a week so two weeks doesn't sound to far off if it is strong stuff.. I would try the two weeks thing once and if you feel they can take more nutes try it. Just be ready to flush if you notice there not liking it. I could be way off on the MG nutes but thats how I would approach it.

Thanks for the advice man. I think this next watering coming up in two days will be just molasses and epsom salt, and then the watering after that I will feed again. Should be about two weeks by then.

lookin good bro. yea the MG nutes are strong. the only MG I ever used was the bloom booster. Its hard to come across for some reason here.

Yeah. I can't find it here either. I'm probably just going to order the Jack's Classic Dynamic Duo and run off that until time eternal.
