first grow ever!!!and its out...door

Hello all at RIU!!...I am a complete noob at this...although i have learned a ton in a very short time thanks to u guys...


first.. i planted on july 4th...she was from seed and just some great regular that i get..so i dont know what it is..but i can tell u she doesnt mind heat and high humidity as this summer has been hot and very humid. and she has thrived.. i threw her into a pot with a bunch of other seeds outside and out of about ten, seven germed..i let them grow for about a week or so i began to see two plants that were definitly healther then the rest so i scraped five and keep two..this is in about a 10 to 15 gallon outside pot..with just some home depo gardening soil that i got from empting alot of little pots into this big one..

one plant i cropped the top the other i just let grow and out of the two the one i cropped just took off..so i cut it some more and it grew into a huge bush..the other plant was little but heathy..i started feeding them around three weeks old some bontanicare liquid karma and pure blend veg about half strenth..and could really see the growth..

August 17th i wake up to....well of course the big huge bush ended up being a male and the not so little plant is the female..i cut the male out the minute i saw those little balls and am left with the single female..

the pics i have are from august19th through today, that is a six foot fence in the first pic!!...i started feeding her some botanicare hydroplex bloom max along with the liquid karma and pure blend pro bloom on the 20th or so of august and u can see the bloom in her....look at pic 3 then 4..that was august30-sept 6th...wowww pic 5 is from today..and the others are some buds..

i do have a few questions if u guys/gals could help out..

i think i have read that temps should be around 50 or so at night..but will a couple of nights in the 45-50 range hurt the plant and if so how to keep her warm..thats my big one...lol


the next biggest one...in the last few days lets say a week i have seen these rust spots showing up with white on some leaves as well.these are the big fan leaves on the bottom. i think both blooms might have been too much but i dont know, the guy at the hydro store said to give them all three.i havent given her any food since i seen this....i have also read that purple stems mean a mg deficincy so im going to the store to buy some lime see if that helps..what cha think...

it has rained a lot over the last couple days so i think all food has been flushed out,but the soil is very wet and its going to rain a bit more tomarrow.im going to give it couple days or so to dry out then hit it with half the dose of karma and hydroplex bloom i gave it last time..

should i be trimming anything right now..it seems some leaves could be removed so the buds on the inside could get better sun light.

what do u think she is??

purple stems are from it gettting so cold at night i garentiee it. and that one is deff root bound just stick them in the ground next time so that you can have huge roots witch inturn will give u huge yeilds i wouldnt expect much since you have them in them super small pots

you got a while longer anywhere from probably 6 to 8 weeks just a gussetimation though lol

wow 15 gallon pot is small for a five foot plant... ok its half full.....i read that its one gallon per month...and the plant is only two month old..??

It's certainly not even close to rootbound but yeah try and get more soil next time anyways. Also look into topping the plant, you would have had alot bushier growth that way. It's growth looks so-so for the age so either it didn't get good light or you over/under watered possibly. Grats though on your first grow, whatever you do don't harvest it too early or all your time will have been wasted.

Feed it every watering from now on with hydro flowering nutes, its getting hungry and now is the worst possible time to deprive it of PK, the start of flowering.

No, that bucket is plenty big enough for as big as that plant will get.
You have AT LEAST 2 months before you harvest. My Indica looks pretty much like yours, but mine went into flower at the beginning of July, and I don't plan to harvest for another month or so.
I have a couple stems towards the top that turned purple a few weeks ago, due to a couple nights in the 50's.

Don't cut any leaves off, unless you mean topping, but then you would lose the top cola.

thanks guys for all the info..i cant believe i have so long to wait.lol...if i have to wait to harvest it till october what is the max low temp that it will take..i am in the northeast and by mid october it gets pretty cold at night...thanks agian and i will keep u all updated...LB420..

To be honest some plants don't harvest until November. I live in the Pacific Northwest and always harvest in November. The lack of branching on your plant is what seams strange to me. perhaps it is a ruderalis strain? I have some pictures of my outdoor in my journal, if you would like some examples from a northern area.
