The only thing im worried about is getting my HPS high enough. Its a slanted room, but i can always put it at the top of the door slanting down if it really came down to it. Its about 150 total with shipping for a 400W hps. Im really leaning towards that. How long you vegg your flowers for?

techniqually i could keep the same light schedual so it wouldnt really matter right?

depends on the strain for sure this time it should be 8 to 10 weeks to finish but sativas like you got is gonna have a lil bit longer like 10 to 15 weeks and they get bigger too the norm on a hps is about 20 or so inches

I have a little time to get the money for an HPS anways, which im gunna get, i just decided, i just need the money. Also towards the cooler months that HPS will help keep that closet warm because it gets cold in there.

I think so too. To be honest i feel like this is gunna work pretty damn good. I think my female turnout will be high too. !!! HOPE FOR THE BEST. Ill probly order the HPS in a week or so

man hope it is man lol maybe some of my luck will go to ya lol i moved this year so i couldnt do my usual crop so i planted 2 seeds jus to have something to grow and ended up 2 for 2 female i was super happy

You can build a DIY cool tube cheap and easy, i made one and my 400 w hps is 5 in above my plants main cola in a closet thats only 5ft tall 32in deep 5 1/2ft long, Here's a link on how to build one here on RIU https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/8502-build-my-own-cool-tube.html

Well now i look at it , i can get it high enough. Im thinking the HPS will be great for the cooler months as i was saying because that closet of mine gets cold quick. Ill be ordering that asap when i get the funds. Im just going to order it off ebay for as cheep as i can find it. Any suggestions where to look for around 150$ for a 400W HPS?

and btw my #1 fav is developing her 5 leaf pattern, very clear today ;) Happy happy happy! Im still worried about the one that isnt doing so well, hopefully in a few days she'll come back. She looks sad :(

UPDATE !

Purchased 6 more Y connectors to add to my light setup. Adding 6 more 14W (800 Lumens each) Total LUMENS NOW = 15300 . This should get me through untill i get my 400W HPS

after my HPS light Im going to have to figure out about buying a carbon filter. I found ones for 129 with everything I will need. My next question is.. I dont really have any sorce for fresh air. Right now i have a about a 2 inch gap below my door and i have a setup where i can blow fresh air into it (which im doing). Im just worried about when it starts to smell. If I get a carbon filter will i have to worry about that? Will the carbon filter take care of that? What should I do. I cant drill holes in this closet, i maybe able to do 1 hole into the next closet in the other room to get a fresh air supply, but even then...HELP!

Some pics for ya!




I used cardboard and duck tape in picture 4 for my airflow. This pushes the airflow up and into the room. The blanket sits right on the edge of the cardboard so the fan only pushes it to the right of the door, leaving the left for the exit. Works great!

Hehe great thanks! I was thinking of this stuff a few nights ago when i saw a similar item. Im going to have to purchase some! And yes the fan works great, (really surprised!) Thanks for the input! Im gunna look into making that cooling for my HPS also. TY high
