That shit aint funny tho lads, we gotta protect the internet. Next strike's on the 25th if I recall correctly.

On topic now :) I hope that hermie didn't do that much of a damage mate, if it did, just use the buds for hash or some butter

Made a little change to my clone/mother setup in the spare bedroom. Got it in the corner now for greater light enhancement from the two windows plus much better security from anyone who might possibly try and peer in.

And here's what the roots look like after sitting in the aero cloner for just five days...

It's looking like 100% success will be possible!

Thanks! Sliced a small branch off the only remaining Northern Lights plant last night just to see what I'm working with. Quickly manicured the flower and tossed her into the microwave on low. Packed it in a micro Toro single circ and took a nice big snap. The effects are spot on and definitely true to form. Not a lightning fast immediate onset like the AK, but very euphoric. Nothing but good vibes and puts a real smile on your face leaning more to the Sativa side, I'd say 70/30. There must have been a lot of Northern Lights going around back when I was a school kid in Dallas(mid to late 90's). Everything about it brought all of my senses right back to those days. Pretty cool feeling in the nostalgia sense and it's also easy to why NL was such a cup dominator. Still, I do favor the AK at this point because it hits like a car crash plus the duration seems to be much longer. Things maybe different once everything has been chopped down and cured though.

Started the flushing process IMMEDIATELY the minute I saw even a shade of amber beginning on the head of just a single trichome within the crop. Sure enough the next day I could find some amber, maybe 1-3% on nearly all of the plants, and it's pretty much stayed that way since(three days into flushing right now). Dropped the ppm's down from 1200 to 400. ppm's have remained steady at around 460. I'll be starting the second phase of my flush tonight doing just straight water and 5ml/gal Flora Kleen and keep monitoring things until the ppms start start to fall of... Could be 3, 5, 7 days until that happens, who knows? This is uncharted territory for me at this point(instructions call for molasses until the remainder, and doesn't specify how long that's for). Oh yeah - took 24 more clones once I started lollipopping the girls(first day of flush). Not gonna be the biggest harvest this time around, but I've got 20 out of 23 clones doing really well in the veg cab right now(2.5 weeks along) and 24 more clones in the TurboKlone. This will give me enough plants and time to evaluate the Serious AK and find an eventual keeper.

That's exactly why I didn't want to use it. It doesn't take much FloraKleen(sugar water) to do the same thing and the stuff ain't too expensive, so I feel it's gonna be a great substitute. Also when I'm flushing, I'm using 5ml/gal of the stuff in between the res changes to bring the ppms ALL THE WAY down and not just steppin it.

I on the other hand will just cut down on the nutes and go for plain water at 240ish ppms. The reason behind it is that I'm absolutely broke to pay even 20$ at the moment

So those pictures are of the AK?
I have read that AK's growth includes very little branching and grows it 1 big spear cola, which is ideal for SOG grows. It looks here like that is very true, and the lollipopping should have helped to bring that out even further.
I'm considering AK as a potential SOG strain for me in the future, so it's good to verify that

It does look like you could have fit even more plants per square foot with the same amount of veg time and increased the yield even further. If you were to place twice as many plants in there I don't see why you would not nearly double your yield, particularly with such a perfect SOG strain as you have.

Absolutely true. I've got 23 clones going in the veg portion of the cab right now and another 24 in the cloner. I plan on growing out of this one AK pack for my next two or three grows. 20+ per table, SOG/LST style in 5 1/2'' heavy duty net pots.

It's definitely an excellent strain to work with. Although a little sensitive to nutes in veg, that quickly disappears after the stretch period in flower. You can pretty much throw everything at them no problem. I've been testing portions and one of the plants got me fucking stoned into the next morning. Had like two stages to the high. Second phase was this really happy groove/funk. That one could definitely sell as kind on the street.

But the real evaluation will come after the cure. We'll just have to wait and see...

So it's been three days now into flush and I've switched over this evening to plain water + 5ml/gal of FloraKleen. Brought the ppms from 460 straight down to 130. I don't plan on doing a week or two flush or anything like that. 2, 3, or 5 days of plain water now and then chop. I'm going to keep a close eye on the ppm and chop when the numbers start to fall off.

On my next batch of AKs I'm going to initiate the flush at mostly cloudy trichs. I distinctly remember seeing mostly cloudy, milky looking trichs around this time last week. Hopefully on the grow after that I'll be taking it a week earlier and chop right at the mostly cloudy, milky point.

It's funny that we're already thinking of our next grow (I got some plans of my own too). This is the only addictive part I found in cannabis; growing it :)

Six days total for the flush - first three days with low strength nutes followed by three days of plain water and 5ml/gal FloraKleen.

The site I was using to host my pics (for the last decade) must have shut down my account sometime during the last couple of days... Idiots. Oh well, the harvest turned out all right. Look for the next one coming up! :joint:
