First Grow Ever with CFL's and T5's

Acid, I run my light at night to keep them warm in winter and cooler in summer. The electric is cheaper at night. Last week it was 75 on tue and 34 yesterday, how would like those temp changes.lol The RH does the samething, so I can only do so much. I would need a heater, AC, humidifier and de-humidifier.lol no way...have fun...rw

looking great man almost like you knew what you were doing :)

may i suggest something? and i know this goes against everything everyone says about flouros. move your lights a bit further away from the plants, this will allow a bit of stretch and let the internodes develop longer chutes. it will also allow you to be able to LST them in a week or so and then you will have a nice canopy with nice long buds.

if you keep that light too close your going to prevent stretch and end up with a short 1 bud style plant because the internodes wont reach for the light.

if you let it stretch you can tie the top down to the edge of the container when the plant reaches 1 ft, by then the auto should already have started flowering and will work to even out the canopy and stretch, then you will end up with 8-14 tops all at about equal height.

also may ewant to look into the ScROG method and maybe work a screen into your setup, if your autos stretch anything like mine your going to want to be prepared for it (sometimes they will stretch up to 2ft even with the lights 2" away from top)

RW yeah I'm doing the same thing they run threw the nite and are off during the hottest part of the day, I run my lights 18/6 so they come on at 5pm and dont go off till next day at 11am, and like you said electric is cheaper at night ;)

I had a good teacher ;) u might know him, he goes by Matthebrute :P

And Matt I did move the light lil bit up away from the plants now they r like 4in away from the plants, before they were like 2in away, is that enough? more? less?
Matt you read my mind I was thinking about LSTing one of the plants and do SCROG on the other one, I even think I got the perfect screen for it, I'll include a picture of the screen and you can tell me if its a good or bad screen the dimensions of the screen is 3inx3in I mean those squares in the screen are 3x3 might be a lil bit to big? so here's the picture of it.

Man Matt your plants look awsome, I showed them to my wife and she was like are our plants will look like that? LoL and I was like naaah honey not with our lights, but she's still happy that we're growing something for our selfs ;) Your plants just made us smile.

dude your plants will most certainly look like that man, you have a good setup you will surprise yourself with this grow im certain!!

i would go 6-8" with the lihgts

that screen is perfect for 1 plant

you can get good results with just using LST and no screen, but yeah LST both of them and let one grow through the screen, let the other do its thing :)

Done, 6.5in it is ;) I got three of those screens (left overs from ikea's shelfs) you will lead the way and I'll follow ;) like you said lets lst both of them and one will grow threw the screen and the other will do it's thing, I was reading about LSTing but still not getting all the way, I know I got to tie down the main stem when I get fifth node but how long should it be tie down like that? few hours? few days? and what about screen, first I got to lst them both and let the one grow threw the screen rite? Damn, good to have you back ;)

Hey guys its been few days since posted some pictures so here we go again ;) first we got Diesel Ryder IMAG0130.jpgIMAG0132.jpgIMAG0133.jpgIMAG0137.jpg it showing its first pistils already :) and here we got G13 NL auto she's kinda small and growing slow, will c if she picks up later on IMAG0131.jpgIMAG0136.jpgIMAG0138.jpg

And today I'll be also switching lights from 6500k to 2700k, and next watering I'll start with 1/4 strenght of ff tiger bloom. Thx for stopping bye, and have a nice and "sunny" day ;)
