Looking good, congratulations! Seeing your hand in the pictures really shows how big those leaves were, freaking huge!

I see you left a lot of trim leaves on. Are you going to trim those off later? I ask because I have always trimmed and manicured at once before drying, but recently I heard to trim off all the large sun leaves, dry, and then remove the sugar trim. The reason, I heard, is that the leaves leach bad stuff out of the bud as it dries and it slows the drying process down resulting in a smoother smoke. Any opinions?

Yes they get pretty big. I have a drying/curing process that im fallowing off another post ill link it in a sec if i can find it. But they are going to hang like that in the closet for 3 days and then I will be manicuring them much more. After that all the buds are going in paper bags and in a dark room for a couple more days until they are the right dryness (probably 3 more days). After this they will be put in the mason jars to cure.

heres that link: https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/385918-simple-harvest-cure-step-step.html

having done both i LOVE leaving the sugar leaves on and to be honest it kinda leaves the rest smelling less harsh/not as strong, without damaging the smoke at all. so its easier to move around when you have say, half a pound. cause the smell isnt SO overwhelming

Thanks guys! No i haven't weighed yet but probably will tomorrow or the next day when I manicure them. I will have the weight that each plant produced so i can get an average and see the most productive plant. Should be exciting! :leaf:

Im going to be putting my vegging plants into the budding room on sunday. Ive just got a couple questions regarding what im going to do next. I want to save one (or two?) g 13 and sour diesel plants to make mothers. I was thinking of keeping the smallest two of each and keeping them in the veg room. Then I wanted to top them so they get more bushy and produce more branches. Ive never had mothers so im not exactly sure what to do. Another question I had is should I transplant them in bigger pots when I put them in the budding rooms ebb n flow? What size containers? How to transplant without damaging roots? I was thinking that I need pots about double the capacity and I wanted to get the same white square pots, I highly recommend them for ebb n flow.

Thanks for the help!

ok first off DISCLAIMER!!!!! i dont grow hydro and when i had dried i rotted out a floor of my house and had to hack and slash and repair. but from what i know, because you are feeding your plants so often, the roots dont really have to stretch out searching for food or really get that big at all and still pull enough nutes to satisfy, i know growers who veg for 3 weeks and then flower and they use like 4 inch pots of clay and the nugs is the sexy, so i cant tell you FO SHO, but im sure you would be fine with whatever your using. and as for the mother plant, just keep it under low lights so it doesnt grow a lot or quickly at least, and i wouldnt take the smallest but rather the prettiest cause that will be the mother of your future babes. clones lose seed vigor and grow at cut rate, so you are really gonna want a strong viral mother. i personally dont feed my mothers ANYTHING but i use soil so waters all the really need. i figure it helps the clones grow because they have more food as clones then they did before and in my mind, should enjoy being alive more :) once again...i grow soil and could very well be talking out my ass, but i think if you try and fuck with those clay balls your really gonna hurt your babies.

Damn this shit has a kick! Has about a 10 minute delay effect right now got me and my buddies floored the other night. The taste has a very potent strong start and but once it settles in your lungs and you can taste it the bud has a very nice taste already with no curing! After a couple weeks this stuff should be incredible.

As for quantity the the total came out to a little over a pound for the 14 OG plants. I averaged at 34 grams a plant. My most successful plant was a little less than 3 ounces.

Im pretty happy with the overall turnout of my first grow. The buds are nice and clean and smoke great already and it was a decent amount. And a bunch of dispensaries want it!

Smoke on friends thanks for the help threw the way
