First Grow In Years - Advice

Hey guys,

I am having a go at growing some Lowryder Easy Ryder seeds. My last grow was almost 7 years ago, and was done under HPS.

This time I am starting the seedlings off under Fluro (a twin tube, both 58W) and intend to switch to HPS when I get paid and can afford a better lighting system.

I just need some advice on my seedlings. I only have two, but can you have a look at the attached picture and let me know if you think this is reasonable growth for a week in soil? They sprouted last Thursday, so it's been just over a week.

Any advice on if I desperately need more light, or if it looks OK for a week old would be most appreicated.

That looks just about right for a weeks growth.

Thanks for your advice, bigv1976. Can't wait to get the HPS light, I will feel more confident based on my exprience of how things went back then.

I would pop em under the hps now and just keep it 16" over the plants for a few days and then go 12". They will handle that now.

Man, he didn't even say what size HPS. LOL, I don't think that seedling could handle a 1000w HPS @ 12 inches in a week.

Sorry to be vauge. It would either be 400 or 600 watt. It's a very small grow, just to get my feet wet again. But yeah, when I get paid (in a week or so) I will get either 400 or 600 watt and put it about 12 inches above. That's another weed under fluro to get a bit more mature, then I'll see where it takes me.
