First grow journal, alaskan ice, trainwreck and the church

:leaf: I took a load of individual plant pics earlier. Nothing much to say about them except they're all looking healthy, stocky and sturdy. These are the Trainwrecks... weird looking leaves on a couple, doesn't actually look like weed!? :leaf:

...actually i forgot to mention a few plants have leaves slightly curling down, I think this is from over-watering? not too sure, i'll do some more research...

:leaf: The curling leaf problem has stopped and all plants are back to full-health (apart from a couple of yellow ones), definately over-watering that caused it. I'm pretty sure that it's being caused by lack of drainage in the soil so all new seedlings have about 33% perlite in the soil (which we should've done in the first place)

Speaking of the new seedlings, so far 4/5 diesels, 5/5 Blue cheeses, 5/5 Chiesels, 2/2 White berrys, 1/1 purple lady, 1/1 gigabud, 1/1 pure power, 1/1 super skunk 1/5 Thai super skunk and 1/5 Red Dragons have germed. Apart from the Dragons i couldn't be happier with the results, plus its still early and i reckon more will crack soon.

Germination Method

Filled cups with soil/perlite mix, saturated thoroughly then a small handful of pure soil on top, misted with water to avoid perlite floating up. (soil on top cos it stops the chance of a blob of perlite blocking the root)Put them about 5-10mm under the surface with the taproots sticking up, labelled them and put them at the edge of the grow area.

Problems
Realised a big venting problem last night as the room air was being circulated into was literally dripping with water from the ceiling so put a dehumidifier in there and its drying the room out well fast. Definately gonna need to fit an outside extractor soon though.

Hydro store was closed today so monday i'm gonna get a few Ionics nutes- Grow, Bloom and Boost plus some others if needed.

Few new pics but thats all for today :leaf:

sup man what lights you growing with?
i see that 125w enviro light or isit 200?
but is that it?

It's a 200w enviro but above it there's 2 600w HPS. Got another 600 coming tomorrow and a 400w MH for a mother room we're gonna build soon. :leaf:

:leaf: All new seeds have cracked and been planted (27 altogether) except 4/5 of the Red Dragons and 1 Diesel. Can't complain really but i may e-mail attitude or barneys farm and ask them about the dragons if they don't crack. Also, randomly, the bag seeds i had from a few weeks ago, i left in a glass of water and noticed 1 had cracked so thats been planted too. If it's what i think it is it could well be the best smoke out of all of them!!

The first batch are less than a week away from going into flowering now. a couple have purple branch stems (trainwreck i think) and 1 church in particular is getting wilted, shrivelled, brown leaves at the bottom and is looking small and neglected. Weird cos the conditions have been exactly the same for it as another church which is growing faster than everything else. I guess this is just genetic but if it dies alls not lost. Here's some pics of the problem church plus some others...:leaf:

Ph is about 6.5-7, Greenhouse seeds reckon the church should be 5.5 but they say this about a lot of plants and i'd rather stick to the levels i have i think

if it aint broke, don't fix it :)

good too see your keeping your journal so up-to-date and informative. wish i took as much effort over mine.

p.s sorry, posting here a lot. i'll try not to jack your thread (too much).

Thanks man, i'm trying to keep it detailed for others as well as myself so no probs posting whatever you like on here, i appreciate the feedback :bigjoint:

I just started my Trainwreck two weeks ago, and had the same heat problem. The light was to close. So now her third set of leaves are a little bit crinkled on the tips. After moving the light up a bit her fourth set seem to be doing just fine. So I'm pulling up a chair for this grow. Good luck with your grow. That a lot of plants to tend to. I hope the harvest doesn't take multiple hours of trimming. That's the only thing I dislike about growing.
