First grow journal, alaskan ice, trainwreck and the church

:leaf: The ones in flower are showing signs of budding and sex already! The mothers are looking really healthy now they have a nice MH to look after them. My mystery strain died :( , just curled up under the soil and went mouldy. Speaking of mould, all the cups with the babies in have developed mould on the underside of the cup. Gonna need to transplant these pretty quick in case it gets into the roots.
I've also directed the end of the extract duct next to one of the lights which seems to be keeping the heat at an acceptable level.
Some of the leaves on the sativa churches have started to curl up, anyone know why it would do this?

looking sweet dodge:weed: that is 1 nice set up.

Are those paper cups you are using? Do they actually hold up long enough? I've had many a paper cup left on the table to end up spilling after a certain time. The parafin wax eventually comes off.

Yeah i'm afraid they are paper cups and the've all got mould growing on the bottoms! I've cut little notches out around the bottom of the cup to get some air in there but they'll be transplanted into bigger pots later. Lesson learned - don't use paper cups!:wall:

It's all good. That's one mistake you'll never make again, right? Just get the plastic party cups. I use a soldering iron to make drain holes in the bottoms.

:leaf: Realised today the timer controlling the flowering lights wasn't working right so god knows when they've been coming on and off. This is really bad but hopefully the worst that'll come of it is we'll be 10 days behind. DO NOT BUY TESCO TIMERS!!!:wall: :leaf:

i had the same problem wit my other timer before i replaced it. probably didnt do much your girls will be fine think positive and youll have positive results:)

:leaf: yeah they'll be ok i know, just sucks to have to change the schedule for harvest time. I'm trying to keep everything to 4 week rotation so we veg for 4, flower for 8 etc so that every month a new crops ready.

Decided today that rather than buy more lights we're gonna invest in a light mover, this will solve all heat problems, space problems and means we can get the lights closer to the plants.

Fitted the carbon filter at last today, no more smells outside the front door! :)

Babies are shooting up fast now, lookin healthy as are the mothers. Gonna need to top em soon though and get clones on the go. Not too impressed by the BBdiesels so far, they're slow starters for sure compared to the rest. I don't recommend these or the red dragons but we'll see how the smoke is at the end.:bigjoint: :leaf:

the mold is because you used paper cups and not styrofoam or plastic......

Actually the mould isn't because the cups are paper but because the bottoms are raised on a lttle ridge which created a small extremely humid environment directly under them. I've solved this by cutting small notches around this ridge to let in air underneath and no more mould! But in future we're not gonna use those cups, they just happened to be the only thing we had at the time.

whats that alaskan ice like????? anyone tried to grow or smoke it? im thinking of growing it as my 1st go, what yield do you get per square metre?

:leaf: Sorry for the lack of updates recently, been very busy:weed: but he's a brief catch-up-

The mother/veg/clone room is all built and running perfectly. Using the 400w MH in there with a small extract fan on the ceiling of it, fully lined out with mylar and a fold down velcro door to get in and out. Plants are loving it in there.

Took about 14 clones from each mother and they're rooting now in some rockwool inside an old rat cage to keep humidity up.

Lots of bud sites appearing all over the flowering ones, they're all looking healthy, can't really say a lot more about them. Altogether including clones i think we have over 100 plants now!

some pics from last week- the first 6 are from the 16th and the rest are from the 18th. I'll get some fresh pics later. really wish i had a better camera though :leaf:

:leaf: I think i'm gonna put most of the youngsters in for flowering today so it's gonna start getting very busy in there soon! About 6 or 7 more weeks for the ones flowering now, maybe longer for the Ice. Hopefully not 18 weeks though lol!!

I'm trying to remember what youngsters we have at the minute -
diesel, chiesel, blue cheese, white berry, white widow, red dragon, thai super skunk, super skunk, purple lady, gigabud, pure power... I think thats it for now. Still haven't germed the new seeds yet, had them a few weeks now, dunno why i bought them really:wall: its not like we don't have enough strains and plants to work with already. But i am keen to get the cheeses on the go... :bigjoint:
