First Grow Starting From Seed

Hi:
This is my first grow starting from seed. I have other grows from clones.

My system is a total aeroponic setup. Starting with seeds of lowlife automatic blueberry, dna hash plant, and some seeds a buddy asked to try.

I am using:
-- ecoplus 700gpm pumps
-- 18" air stones
-- 18gal resevoirs filled with 10gal of Nutes.
-- GH 3-part Nutes
-- Pro-Silicate Additive
-- CalMag Plus
-- Hydrozyme
-- Green House Root Stimulator
-- 1 400w MH for veg.
-- 1 1000w HPS for flowering
-- CAP timer set to 1on and 4off

I began by germinating the seeds on a plate until the root shoots showed. Then added them to root riot cubes and placed them into 3"net pots with hydroton.

As of this writing the plants are 20 days old.

Here are some new pics taken this morning 1/4/10. The rez was changed today and the ladies were split into two units to space them out more. My DNA Hash Plant Haze is doing the best out of all the ladies but the auto blueberry is doing very well also. :weed:

The seeds my buddy asked me to run with are a mixed bag when it comes to results so far. Some are doing quite well and others look like they need to be put out of their misery or mine from just looking at them.

I am hoping that the new supplies I ordered for the grow room will be here by the end of the week so I can do some major upgrades to lighting, reflection, and cooling.

Today I have new pics of the ladies and some new equipment I am adding to the grow room.

Also unfortunately two of the 3 auto blueberries I germinated are damn males:fire:. I am thinking of isolating them and harvesting the pollen for a cross later, but I am not sure. The one female is doing well and I am hoping to take clones from some of the other seedlings soon to determine their sex.

OK Its been about a week since I updated this grow. I have done some major work to the grow room. First I seperated the grow room up into sections. (By the way my room is 16' x 20'). I now have one section for vegging and cloning with 2 400w MH lights and the capability of holding up to 72 plants. A second area setup for flowering with 2 1000w hps lights and the ability to grow 44 plants with about 12 to 14 inches between each plant. The rest of the room consists of cabiniets an industrial stainless sink and a countertop area for working with the nutes and plants.

Today I rolled the dice on some of my seeds from my buddy and took 4 of them straight to flowering without cloning them to determine sex. I have plenty still vegging to clone soon but just wanted to get some of them producing hopefully. Also the Lowlife Auto Blueberry female is doing great at the end of its first week of budding.

I may plan to do a video of my grow room setup or at least a picture collage' so everyone can see what I am working with. But here are some pics taken today of the plants I have going.:bigjoint:

OK. So I have added a few things since my first post listing what I am working with. I now have 2 - 1000w hps lights and 3 - 400w MH lights for vegging. The veg area has grown from the first 24 plant area now to its max size of 96. (I keep my plants close together during veg.) Also (I think I already mentioned it) the flowering table is now fully set with enough space for 44 plants under the 2 HPS'.:weed:

I will be adding a co2 system by the end of the month.

I also added pH and TDS meters to all the reseviors for constant monitoring of their levels.

The auto blueberry is coming along real nice and should be ready to harvest around the 15th of next month. The two males I got from the auto blueberry have been chopped and are currently drying in a container in the hopes of being able to save the pollen for a cross later. :leaf:The four plants I rolled the dice on have yet to show their sex but it shouldn't be much longer until I know what they are.

Also today, I moved my dna hash plant haze mother to the flowering area as she was getting to big for the vegging and I currently have 8 clones from her so it was time. I also moved 5 more of my buddies plants I seeded and have grown (we are calling them tiger eyes) to the flowering area and rolled the dice with them to see what gets produced. We have plenty of those available so its not much of a problem if they turn out to be males.

As a side note I have no idea what the deal is with the camera pics with the wavy lines. Both my HPS lamps and One of my MH lamps cause the pics to do this.

Also feel free to give any suggestions and / or comments on my setup or grow. THANKS

OK. A lot has changed since my last post to this journal. I had to raise the roof and lower my flowering table in order to deal with some of the height a few of the plants are getting to. Also on the Tiger Eyes plants that I rolled the dice on, I have had about a 60 / 40 male to female ratio come from them. that being said I have had great results with the clones I have taken including 3 from my hash plant haze. the auto blueberry is about 10 days away from being harvested and is looking great. I hope it yeilds enough smoke to last me until the others are ready to be harvested the end of march. I did make a hell of a order from Attitude that included 13 different strains for me to play with in the near future.:weed:

bongsmilieOk heres the update. The auto blueberry has been harvested, dried, and is now curing for the next day or so before I go to town and smoke the hell out of it. That hash plant haze is taking over my flowering area and i hope that I can get it harvested with the rest at the end of march. I probably will not try that strain again for a while. The damn thing is over 6ft high and thats with me doing my best to train it down and keep the lights close so it doesn't stretch out. The tiger eyes plants are doing great but the ratio of male to female ended up being 70 to 30 which was a lot of plants that had to be chopped down and spent too much time on.

On a positive note one of my partners purchased some new seeds and we have decided to start 4 of those strains (he bought 13 strains). They are Strawberry Cough, Nirvana Blue Mystic, Barneys LSD, and Greenhouse's Church. Those got put on a plate today to start germinating and after a short time of vegging and taking some clones from them they should be ready to flower 3 or 4 days after harvesting the plants. With two partners this is going to have to be perpetual grow.:bigjoint:

As a side note this was our third time ordering seeds from Attitude and we have had nothing but great results from them when it comes to customer service, shipping, and overall quality of doing business with them.

Getting close to the end now. Its week 10 of flowering and I just switched the lights to 10.5 on and 13.5 off to start stressing the plants a little more. I will change the reseviors out tomorrow and start flushing them with clean straight water. I plan on switching the water one more time before harvest next tuesday. So far I have one DNA hash plant haze that is huge and I am hoping for around 3oz dried from her if not more. The tiger eyes plants are a mix of production between the plants. Some of them look great and will easily give me an oz per plant if not more and a hand full of plants look like i will be lucky to get 8 to 10 grams. These :spew:plants have confused the hell out of me!! The plants that look great are on the ppm schedule and in some cases the same reseviors drinking the same nutes and water as the plants that aren't doing shit. I have decided to scrap the clones I took from these plants and stick strictly to what we have purchased. You can see the new grow in the link of my signature.
