First Grow, T5, Northern Lights

jetset mine strecthed out too.I got branches all the way from the bottom going to the top like it is a top..I ended up with 2 females out of the 3 i had flowering both whitw widow..
 
Just checked and my second plant fell over.. it's not dead.. I have it tilted up against the wall for the time being.. I need to get some supports for it I guess..

It didn't have time to strengthen it's stem like my other one, it just started immediately to stretch during flowering, not like I had the light too far away, the budding made it top heavy I guess. The stem is kind of flexible and thin, my other plants stem is hard.
 
didnt you stake it like i told you too?? haha thats what happened with mine too when the buds started to fill in the branches started to bend and fall over...
 
That was with my other plant.. It was just growing that way, wasn't top heavy and I snapped off the main growth area by accident trying to correct it. Won't matter much as far as I can tell it had really weird growth from that so it has tons of bud sites. (Since it was growing sideways a little the nodes got bunched together really tight and there's a lot of buds on the top.) I can see new growth where the main area was snapped off anyway, but it's just starting.. Looks like more budding there. Looks like it's going to be a monster by the time it's finished.. It's already basically taking up the space of 2 plants. Really just a vigorous female. It was my first sprout as well.

My other 1-2wk vegged plant, i'm going to have to stake it.

On another note.. I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy the bushmaster cyclone or not.. It's basically a copy of the hurricane, but I'm not spending $500 on a bong, this one is about $100 with shipping. I don't have a bong so it would be nice to get one.. Just been smoking with pipes or blunts.
 
ive never understood why people pay so much bank for these huge crazy bongs. i just got an acrylic one, about a foot tall with an ice catcher works great. cost like 30 bucks and probably all ill ever need haha no buyin a new one every month cuz you get too high and smash your glass one...
 
This one is supposed to be pretty nice though, it helps filters out the tar from the smoke and adds some oxygen to mix with the smoke.. Supposed to be pretty strong glass as well.. Not as strong as the hurricane though, they had a vid of people playing soccer with it and it didn't break.

Also I have put a temp. stake on the one that was falling over, it's straight now, but still leaning against the wall a little. I don't know where to put the stake since putting it in the soil would hit the roots.
 
playing soccer with it?? haha thats ridiculous is there a link to that?

for the stake i put mine at angle so it was sticking into the pot at the very edge of it as far away from the roots as possible. i dont really think it would hurt them that much anyway but its better than your plant toppling over!
 
I pulled something off my plant that sort of looked like a pollen sac, but it had no pollen in it.. It just had some kind of liquid in it.
 
Yea, it was clear liquid. I think it had been there for quite awhile, I just didn't notice it. I found 2 or 3 others but they look dead to me (they're brown). They're not in groups like my male plant, like tons of balls.. none of that.. Just one..

I dunno maybe just some weird growth, there's no pollen though.
 
Yea, like clear liquid, maybe water. They're not male sacs if they've been there any amount of time, because those suckers pop really quick.
 
well shit who knows yeah just pick em off and get rid of them man you got all kinds of weird things goin on haha
 
Yea, once I changed to 12/12 all hell broke loose lol. I screwed up quite a bit during this grow, next grow I'll know better.

I squeezed it because I heard about false seed pods that just had liquid in them.. I don't know if this was one of them, but it seems kind of early in flowering for it to be doing this. Also I wanted to confirm if there was pollen in it or not, and there was no pollen to be found.. This was probably not a false seed pod, but something else.. It wasn't on the bud, it was down below the bud at the node. Possible candidate would be swollen calyx? I dunno.. Weird though.

There's only 2-3 others and they're brown.. Seems like I'd have a lot more if it was hermie.

One good thing though they seemed to have stopped stretching so much, and the buds are getting bigger day by day. Looks like I'm going to get at least some bud anyway :)
 
Yea, probably from that male I had.. It was really early though, seems strange they still got pollinated. I had read that early pollination generally doesn't work. Seeds are fine by me though. I could use them for many future grows.
 
well mine were kind of doing that but white hairs started shooting out..I was gonna say maybe thats what yours was doing..I doubt i got any hermies so i dont know about that..
