First grow with OG Kush and soon to join WW

Ok so I have a dr100L grow tent which is about 3ftx3ftx6ft. I have 4 OG Kush seedlings going right now and I jsut ordered 5 feminized White Widow seeds from Nirvana seed bank.

I have them under a 200 watt CFL in a BrightWing reflector. I just got my fan and filter in the mail today and will be installing that in the next couple of days. I dont have a huge heat issue right now but I just ordered a 400 watt HPS system. Its a digital ballast and will also be on a Wing reflector. The fan I will be using is a 6" 424 cfm BrightGrow inline fan and a charcoal filter that I plan on putting on the top of my tent with the fan on the outside and the filter on the inside of the tent with the fan sucking the hot air out of the tent and open the bottom vents during the day for a passive intake. To go along with the fan and filter I have a fan speed controller that I thought would be a good idea because that fan sounds like a damn jet engine LOL i know this from a friend. (Sorry if I am rambling I am soooo stoned right now it isnt even funny!!!)

The seedlings are between 4 days apart. The two tallest ones are from the 7th of this month and the lastest I believe is the tenth.....in the picture its the one with no leaves yet.

So I was thinking that I was going to grow to 5 nodes and then top at the second node and use the top as a clone (obviously!!!!) was gonna veg for atleast another week before I threw them into flowering...

Ummmm trying to think what else to tell ya..... ohh gonna go with Jacks Classic for nutes gonna order them here like tomorrow.

So the girls seem to be doing very well. If you are just now joining in I have got two superstars that were sprouted on the 7th of this month and two that were sprouted on the 10th.

I am really happy with the way the monster is taking off well. The only concern I have is that I have been reading that if the plant grows fast and is in 80 degree + temps than it will usually be a male. If it is, no worries because at least I got some practice out of it.

I have 5 feminized White Widow seeds from Nirvana coming so they will be getting started soon to add to the bunch.

I am having a little trouble with my fan and filter setting it up. I just dont know where or how to install it. I was thinking that I would put it on the back right side of my tent because it has a vent hole in the top right corner of the ceiling. I was gonna attach the filter on the inside and fan on the outside with ducting sealing it inbeween the two.......doesn that make sense???? (its all in a vertical line) I was gonna just tie the end up. The other idea I had was to have the filter horizontal and a duct from the filter to the fan which would be about 6 or 7 inches to the right and up. The fan would still be on top of the tent and fan would be pulling air through the filter and out the fan.

Well thats all for now will check in in a couple of days. Any feed back would be great hahahaha even though nobody has even replied at all...

your plants sprouted on the 7th the same as mine did take a look at my thread my plants are on par with yours.

I purchased a small indoor greenhouse and i have a small table fan going your grow tent looks really good.

ok so I dont know if anyone else is liking the new set up for RIU but I dont know how to do anything anymore. Ok so I am soooooo in too far over my head. I got my WW sprouted and under some 23watt CFLs doing fine..... Problem is that I upgraded my light to a 600 watt mh/hps digital combo. The mh bulb came broke so i had to get a reship and decided to just use the HPS until it comes probably monday or tuesday....Ok the problem is that even the i have my 6 inch fan going which is 424cfms it is 91 F in my tent I have no idea how to solve this problem.......The only two things I thought of was taht I am only using passive intake and was thinking that i could get a intake fan but I actually just think that it may be too hot in the room I have the tent in and it is just sucking in hot air. The other idea I had was to either take the flexible ducting straight from my airconditioning vent straight in the tent...... If anyone is actually reading this any advice I AM NOT GOING TO KILL MY WW IN THAT HEAT BOX!!!!! hahahahaha

Ok so the plants are huge now...well atleast to me hahaha. I cant wait to flower them. I am going to go to Michigan here in a couple of days and after I get back I will flower a week later. So the talles one is almost 11 1/2" tall. and the "deformed one" is actually second tallest now..... I gave them their first dose of nutes a few days ago and the seem to love it. I used Jacks at half the recommended amount but plan to go full strength next time just to see...... I FIMed one of my plants basically because I am shit scared to top them.... I dont quite understand why I am growing to cut the fucker in half hahahaha but Ill be brave enough with the next grow.

I did start the WW seeds a couple days ago. One took off fast (it was the biggest seed) The other I germed was the only seed that had those black stripes on it. I havent taken any pics of them yet but Ill add them soon.

Ok so I did have one accident this week and that I that I had a fan blowing in the tent ( I have like three hehe) and it fell and ripped off one of the fan leaves......hope it does ok over the next couple of days. We will see. here is some pics of the girls (hopefully)

I really now appreciate how much superior equipment can affect growth speed and i'm sure eventual yield. The updates of your plants as i said earlier are on par with my plants when it comes to dates but I can see how much slower my plants are growing as a result of lack luster lighting. Your plants are really developing very well great job! Keep us updated.

WW is pissing me off cant get any to take off except one that is huge..... any advice on this strain??????

I have heard that widow can be a bitch. I wont fuk wit it. I'm hitting up NL#5 in comb. with my og next grow...after the 10 + pounds I get off my outdoor grow Im already started. I have a journal for that too, I'll link it to ya sometime when it gets goin, it's huge lol. anyways your a homie I can tell. Nice to meet ya BoNg KoNg . Props on the OG kush, it's a badass strain. Our thread titles are almost identical haha you copied me...didnt you? jkng* So you got your temps figured? you may need an A/C man, I'm getting a portable in the next 2-4 weeks. you gotta figure a way to pipe in some fresh air mang. Yeah I would do whatever you can with your a/c, 90 is wayy too hot, I go 80 and it seems just prime.

I think I got it pretty set for now until I get a little AC unit but man those are expensive and kinda big.......the cheapest one i found is like 150 but its like a humidifier. But to be honest the the plants really dont seem to mind..... I think I am changing the air very well I have it figured that the air is changing every 2 minutes.......

So I have that duct running from my ac register in the room to the tent. I also blocked off a lot of the other registers in the house and it is steady between 82-85.... So do you have a recomendation on a strain.... I want something that isnt sooo stoney I want uplifting and even euphoric.....hehehe

yeah i'm trying to find a smaller style portable a/c as the temps are climbing outside making it harder to cool my room, i thinking 200 bux hopefully. Sounds like you got your set on lock man, good job. 82-85 should be okay. Honestly you don't really do as well with anything above what you have it at...unless your supplementing Co2, then the plants will love a bit higher temps.

Well you see I've been smoking pot since I was young so i have tried every strain around pretty much, but as for remembering exact highs and particular qualities I'm not there yet. I just started growing a month ago, first time indoors. Blueberry has a really nice high! Me and a bud knocked off an insane outdoor crop of it last season, holy shit that was good outdoor, it sold for indoor prices lol As for uplifting and euphoric, that can be controlled by harvest time as much as particular strain. You see when you look at trichomes under a magnifier, the state the trichs are in controls most aspects of the high.

The strain has alot to do with it also but you can manipulate the harvest to get more of the stone you want, Example: with a heavy couchlock indica strain a grower may want to chop the plants when the trichomes are at a 50 % cloudy/ 50 % clear phase, as opposed to a 50 % amber/ 50% cloudy phase, making it a tiresome couchlock. Utilizing the early trichome developement will maximize an active, uplifting and euphoric high... but on a sativa an early pick can give you a paranoid high. Watch your trichs and experiment with it. I know this may sound dumb but I dont know anything about trichromes.....you know a site or have a link to a tutorial hahaha. Ohh and do you know how much runoff I should have per pot when I water. Should I water until it flows out the bottom or dribbles??

Well i just went through and have seen what all is going on and you need a carbon fan and filter bro, that will cure that heat prob. I am growing 7 diffrent kinds including Paradise Ice cream, so if you are thinking of getting that let me know. looking good so far. Subd ill watch this one i supose
