First Grow

Hello all,

I am new to growing but a vet when it comes to smoking. What I am growing is bagseed of unknown origin. What I got it from is a kinda crap smoke. It will get you high but tastes bland and burns a little.

I started germinating 12 seeds on 9/15. 8 germinated on 9/18. I planted them in a 6 inch clay pot with organic soil (I think) with miracle grow on the 20th. The taproots were about 3/4 to 1 inch long when planted.

They sprouted (only 4) on the 9/22. Let's hope I can get at least one girl

I am using purified water, 120W florescent bulb ... do I need to step this up? I don't have much cash flow to work with, so I have limited resources.
Thanks in advice for your input, I have added aluminum foil around the grow area to enhance the light.

Here are some pics. More to come.

So its day 4 and they are going good. I have 4 seedlings about 2 inches tall. I have 120W of florescent light(plant light) about foot away. The top of the soil is dry all the time. I have the light on it 24 hrs/day, I'm pretty sure that's where the water is going. I will be posting new pics by this weekend.

Are plant life bulbs okay??

I know they aren't the best, they seem to be growing well.

Day 7 of growing phase

Well my babies are stretched all to hell. I moved the light (120W) closer. It is about 6 to 7 inches away from the tops now. I added soil to help with the falling over. I need help!

EDIT - Found out my dumbass was using the wrong lighting. Go me:o. Going to upgrade to 2x42W, 2x23W cool white CFL's. Getting rid of the aggro-lite. Hey I did learn if you want a really really really tall sh*tty plan, then use aggro-lites.

Update:

Upgraded the lighting to the proper setup. Current setup is 42W soft white CFL & 2x27W daylight CFL's. Once the plants are more full (stretched pretty bad) I am going to upgrade the 2x27W to 2x42W CFL's. Got a 150W HPS but do not have a ballast to get it lit. Working on that tomorrow.

Day 14 of Veg ...

They are doing alright. I changed up the light to the correct type so now I am getting decent foliage. They are stretched to hell so I will have to careful making sure I do not break the long stems. I am continuing the grow because this is my first attempt I need to see if I can be somewhat successful.

I have tied up my babies just to add the needed structure so that I don't have any of the leafs laying in the soil. Three out of four can stand on their own but don't want to take the chance. Here are the pics ...
