First Hydro/Aeroponic Grow. Need Experienced Growers Suggestions!

Plants are growing outrageously fast. I have one that is about 8-9" above the hydroton, but considering its full length into the net pot its somewhere around 12" and probably would be close to flowering but im waiting the full 4 weeks to allow the others to catch up.

My question to you all is... I purchased some good seeds off of the internet but I would rather clone these at this point in time so I didnt have to wait so long for the next grow to be completed. This will allow me to stagger the grows and basically veg the would be clones as soon as these start to flower. However, I dont know the sex of these at this point in time and I definitely want more plants in the next grow. Should I take clones off of every one of these right before flowering? I dont find it very interesting thinking about dealing with 30 clones for 2 weeks until I find out which one is which but if thats what you all suggest then thats the way ill have to do it.

You could take a cutting and grow a mother from which you can eventually clone. that will give you time to pop your seeds, sex them, pic out a mamma, and clone off of her. at least that is what i would do. its a longer process but by growing all of the plants from the same mom (which should be the best out of all the seeds you had) your canopy will stay nice and even. in theory you will also get more bud because you picked the plant with the strongest genetics.

I got my new ph tester by Hanna in today. Can someone tell me why the res ph reads 5.2 but the other buckets are all at 6.1? Weird..

Did you calibrate the meter first? This can also happen with certain containers, it is some sort of electrical anomaly. A simple solution is to take a sample of the water in a GLASS container and test your liquids out of it. When you are finished you can just dump it back in. Try this and see if it doesn't solve your problem.

You'll get even more accurate readings if you take them out of a GLASS container as PeaceFarmer suggested above.

looking pretty good man. i would suggest taking that tin foil off bro because that can create some bad hot spots on your plants. and thats not a good thing lol

They are growing like crazy! About to flower (Yes I know one is way too big, but this was bag seed and I am trying to let the majority catch up. I dont mind dealing with a monster haha... if its female that is). I probably seem way too excited but this is my first grow hah. The one aero setup is based off of the "every 3 weeks" thread. Finally got my ph tuned in at a solid 5.8. The weather has been so damn hot, still difficult keeping temps down with the new MH 400 in the room. The one picture is of a carbon filter I made last night, seems to be working great. The tallest plant now measures 20 inches from the bucket, while the others are around 15. I havent flowered yet because im waiting for the shit to come in to take clones off of these and put them in the aero setup tomorrow and then its an immediate water change and flowering.. One pic is of my bug killer, I came home to probably a hundred gnats in the grow room and went and bought that at walmart. The next day they were ALL gone and havent seen one since. It of course hasnt hurt the plants. Let me know what you guys think!

Purchased some ducting today and have setup so the duct exit is outside of the room. Seems cooler already. Taking clones tomorrow off of the ones that are worth cloning! Anyone have any comments?

hydrogen peroxide is use to kill micro-organisms. But have to use 35% hydrogen peroxide. It's recommended to use 1 teaspoon per gallon of water. Just remember in aeroponics everything is calculated. I'd do some reading.Good luck.

How many more weeks of flower do you think these have? They are about 3-4 weeks into flower right now

At least 7-9 weeks. Most strains need a 12 week flower, sometimes longer depending on your nute load and light availability.
