Hi Guys whats up? First post Yay :bigjoint:

Hehe, anyways I just started hydro growing a few weeks back and im trying to figure some things out. I've read a bunch of good threads from here and its helped me out alot I really just need some more specific info.

First Off i'd like to know just how much i should be watering my plants. I have 8 growing in a hyrdofarm megagarden kit i picked up with just a T-5 holding 2 55w bulbs for light which are about 12" from the tops. They are right at about 4 weeks old, and I'm not sure what strain they are save for one that i was told is Jack Harer. Also, I'm pretty sure they were kinda overwatered for the first week or so.

Im on an 18/6 light schedule right now but for the first 2 weeks i was doing 24/0 and the plants are only about 8 1/2" tall. They arnt showing any signs of anything major so far besides the leaves are the slightest bit droopy on a few of the plants. The temps have stayed from 72 - 78 with the humidity rising and falling between 40-80. The ph was 6.3 when i put it in and over the past few days has raised to 7.8 which i know is not good and I have no idea why :-( They're in the 5 x 5 planter that came with the kit filled with hydroton pebbles which have what looks like a salt buildup on them. Some of the plants have a few roots sticking 2-3 inches out of the bottom of the planter so im wondering if i should get a better container? Sorry about the rambling on sentences, just tryin to give ya all my info :weed:

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated :) and I'll try and get some pics up today

Those lights should be much closer, like 2 inches. I'm not sure whatyou mean by watering since you say this is hydro?

Not sure what kind of hydro setup it is, it has a resevoir with a tray on top and a pump in the res that fills up the top tray and then drains back down? wondering how many times i should be letting it fill daily and for how long should i let it stay filled each time... does that make sense?

Ok for the rocks you knead to flush them out just pull the pots out and run them under the tap water for about 5 gal or till you see the salt build up washes away. The light neads to be way closer to. You got to keep on top of the PH thing to 5.8-6.3 round there. The watering just brake it up 3-5 time a day 15min to 30min I all so throw one in at night but that is just me.
