Hello all... This is my first grow indoors i have done it outdoors numerous times and i was kindof getting tired of not being able to control any thing so i decided i was goin to give a try inside my closet.....Right now i have 6 cfls on here at 26w each and they are in the 6500k spectrum for effiecient vegging. I plan on getting the plant big enough to take clones and sex them before i sex my main baby... well any ways this is my set up and i just want to know what a few ppl think about it...I also think that i am going to stay posting pictures about every two to three days sooo that would be great if you all would follow up pretty often...well any ways this is what i got going on.....P.S. found the seeds in a nice bag of Grand Daddy Purpkool shit 024.jpgkool shit 025.jpgkool shit 026.jpgkool shit 027.jpg

Hey man nice set up. I'm also growing some GDP. I've used those exact nutes before and got some pretty good results. I switched over to General Organics though which is General Hydroponics organic line. What wattage bulbs are you using?

Your doing fine man, everything looks good. Are you planning on adding more lights as time goes on?
Also, how's your ventilation setup?

thank you all for tooning in and checking out the grow yes i am planning on flowering in this dresser if anything i will take out the bottom of it and let the bucket sit on the floor...i had it in a closet and the 5 gallon fit fine once i move to the dresser i relized that it was a lil tight on space i will be gettin a smaller bucket if i have to but i am doin alot of light bending and alot of LST on her....I wasnt planning on more light i was planing on switched to 12/12 in about a month and switch to 2700k bulbs and rearranging the light if i need ...Just another ? i have a 6" exhaust fan and it moves alot of air but i have no intake fan but i do have intake hole temp with lights on is 82 lights off around 77 does it sound like i might need to drop my temps a lil?

You might want to get a computer fan for air intake, I took one of mine out of my non-working computer. I have similar temperatures as yours, and while looking around for ideas I just stumbled upon this:
https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/407358-cheap-2-1-airconditioner-carbon.html
I am going to test this tomorrow to see if it drops my temperature 5 degrees.

yeah that looks like a good idea if you used a comp fan with jsut a small insulated pipe goin to a tank with ice or dry ice and then let it empty in your box that is a good idea and the best part is your not using anymore energy than the comp fan uses....which make me really happy lol let me know how it works!!!

Well today marks day 8 of the dresser grow and she is showing a decent amount of growth every day!!! One thing i have notice is that a few of the leaves are starting to curl up just a little no discoloration just curling up... temps are good... and i have always been told to hang cfls 2 to 4 inch away from top of plant was i miss lead? If someone could answer that for me that would be great but other than that i am not worried about it too much i did move up the lights and i think she is going to be just fine and very very bushy....Well here is the few pictures that i took today which is day 8. This is the max temp that my room has gotten does 82.3does that sound like that is a good max or is that too high some good info would help out alot .... and with the lights off it is 76005.jpg001.jpg004.jpg

007.jpg008.jpg005.jpg006.jpg014.jpg017.jpgi think i jsut decided to be a little smarter today and thought a lil bit about these curly leafs....
I being as stupid as i actually am thought that a 6in exhaust fan would be enough circulation in there to give that baby some oxygen.....
I am thinking that i was a little bit wrong and i am goin to go get a small osolating one tomorrow and see how she is doin...
Here are some pics

ok well i decided that i was going to top right above the 4th node which i did last night i dont know if i should have done this quite yet seeing the leaves are still curling and she is not in the best of health.... Any ways i didnt get a str8 u top i think i got a fim lol.....well any ways here is some of the pics i did put a osalting fan in there but i am also going to get a intake fan for her today....another thing i have noticed is right below the first set of leaves there is some type of growth....looks like male flower but is deff not a bud site......I think it might be a hydro calyst if anyone else has any ideas let me knowView attachment 1437209

Penyajo, I find it funny that you and I have the same thermometer. hahaha
But ya man, I made a different "AC" unit than the one on the video. What I did was take a deli meet tupperware container, 2 plastic water bottles and hot glued them into a fixture that I can slide frozen water bottles into the white water bottle. :D It it screwed into my box on the back in front of one of my intake fans.

It works well, takes my temperatures down 4 degrees. Only downfall is that I have to change the water bottles every 2 hours because they thaw out. :l But the cold air still lingers in the box for awhile, so I change the frozen water bottle ever 3-4 hours.

A couple notes. Nice if the dri ice co is just down the street. have to replenish the ice on a regular basis. Keep a couple large blocks of it in the freezer to extend it's shelf life. Also got to be careful about dri ice in confined spaces or bed rooms. CO2 can kill you if it displaces the O2 in the room. kill you in your sleep in fact. It's still a damn cool idea for anyone who's got an ice factory near by.
