First Outdoor Grow: Potent Budz, Humble Beginnings!

Two Grand Daddy Purple, (GDP), this is our favorite strain tried so far! They have a nice grape smell and verry sticky gooey! They were started indoors for 3 weeks then moved outside. We gave them shade cover for 4 days using a screen door until they were hardened off enough for full sunshine! They would get a gallon General Hydroponic nutrients as a treat every other day. Also we used the Sonic Bloom system as a nutrient booster!! They were done in only 43 days!! We expect a 2-3 oz. yield.

Come on guys, 52 views and no comments!! You guys can critique anything you see or talk about the GDP strain (yummm!) We tried to use tips from perma-culture for our garden. We didn't use any pesticides, there were lots of little critters but they left the plants alone, (too worried about spiders!) Sonic Bloom was the "key" to making our plants super virulent to pests, irregular watering, and the intense California heat! The Sonic Bloom combines sound frequencies with an organic, seaweed-based, FOLIAR nutrient spray! The sound frequencies sound like birds or crickets chirping. Animals, birds especially, loved the sound of the Sonic Bloom! We would see them lining up on the telephone wires before it would turn on for two hours in dawn and again at dusk. The birds would tweek away until our suburban neighborhood sounded like a rainforest, drowning out the busy street noises! We really enjoyed our first outd0or grow!

I hope that I gave all you more to talk about...

Thanks, Pablo! They will be done in a couple days and I'll post some pics of the finished product. I'm worried they won't be as hearty as the indoor w/ CO2.

Looks good dub007. I just picked up some GDP the other day. Not the best I've had, tho. Good luck with your harvest.

wow, i really cant believe that plant is still alive, if you gave nutrients to the plant every other day and its only that big, that thing should have died for sure. Why would anyone use general hydroponics nutrients in soil, the shit sucks, your bud will come out allright i guess from the pics, but i definitely know that some salty gen. hydroponics nutrient will not make your bud grow to its full potential, you need to use the new Humboldt nutrients line if your going to do soil, they're organic line of nutrients is the best stuff on the market by far if your going to use organic soil without premixing your own organic soil with amendments

the whole point of sonic bloom is a massive increase it plant metabolism. it uses a lot more nutes.

does it really use THAAAAAt much nute, and if so maybe i should try this thing, but thats too much fertilizing for me to be comfortable growing

well most of the info i have is straight from the company so it might be a bit hyped, but it seems legit. i mean we've all heard about test's of plants exposure to music. supposedly, and they have lots of cool micro-shots of this in action, the specific freq opens up like four times more stomata than would regularly form so the whole plant is respirating a lot faster. i really have no concept of how much he's feeding it though, as i have always and will always use real organics, ie, poop. i'm very interested in the actual freq, of anyone knows what it migh be, i play violin and could definitely hit it.

yeah i thought the same thing but when i saw the price it was like being slapped in the face by my computer.

also the company does mention that the sped up growth can exacerbate nutrient imbalances, but naturally have a product to combat this.

Hey I did not see what you are talking about on their web site, all I see is the nutrient spray but nothing to help with nutes imbalances. I have not noticed any signs of imbalances like yellowing leaves so I don't think it will make a difference. It might fill in gaps that your standard nutes have and give your plants full spectrum nutrition. I posted further details into how to use Sonic Bloom. I want to document how we use the Sonic Bloom for our garden to show you guys just how it works.

yeah the nute spray was what i was talking about, it comes in a package deal on their web but you can also buy just the sound thingy. does it mention anything like hertz? on the sound projector or packaging?

You can listen to it on the website but the unit doesn't give any hints to what frequency actually opens up the pours.. In person it sounds like.. "WEE WEE WEE WEE" but then when you focus on it you can hear "CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP" like crickets! It is quite a trip and you should see how the birds love it, they start singing and now my backyard is like the singles spot for birds....

Hey dub007 ,,,,howzitgoing...subscribed ,, I'm fascinated ... I have heard it said that the sonic bloom is a good thing to combine with led lighting indoors....as it really helps the plant get the bud sites pumping.... I know that you can just buy the cd....and use your own sound system,,, that would be cheaper

:bigjoint:Hey jats, thanks for that! its exciting that someone else is interested in makng fatter budz using SB too. I just got done spraying the 'babies' and I took some pics along along the way which will be posted soon on a different thread. If there's a way to get you the mp3 files I can send them to you. The music will increase growth but not as fast without the nutes. I haven't tried the led lights, I've heard they work but I'm too nervous to try it. I would think that the plants need more light spectrum than those put out.
Def having an iPod dock is the way to go for indoor. The outdoor sound unit just puts out the frequency without the classical music like the indoor CD has. Its waterproof, so far so good! And very loud; can fill 1/5 of an acre and up to 5 acres... no joke. I ran the cord into the house where it's on a timer set for 2 hours in the morning when the dew is on the leaves and similarly in the evening. If it gets to hot the SB can actually dry out your plants even faster. You should play the sound only when it is warm or cool because I think it can cause the plant to 'sweat' faster in the heat. Well there is so much to talk about, more tomorrow. Peace:peace:

wow thanks for documenting this i've been thinking about sb and sound and magnetic effect's on plants. your gdp is beautiful by the way, i love that musty grape smell.

Today I counted 11 small birds on our telephone poll today. That is something that I haven't seen since we've been using the Sonic Bloom in our garden. So this frequency mimics what would be heard if the plants were in a jungle. Plants have evolved to be photosensitive, so why wouldn't they adapt to the sound frequencies that they were surrounded by for ????? millenniums!
