I use 17 gallon SIPs, and there’s no way I could go without top dressing. What size pots are you using, and are you indoors or out? If you don’t veg long and are running SOG grows it would be fairly easy to do water only. I can’t see growing large plants indoors water only though.

I’m all over the place basement, greenhouse, outdoor always doing different stuff. I find the sweet spot for small veg as 5 gallons smallest, 12-16 under 4x4 area

fbigger plants 10-15s. Usually 4 in 4x4 and sometimes those don’t keep up, Typically heavy handed amendment 2twice
